New body cam footage shows Police rescuing a tiny kitten that was stuck in a tree in Lufkin, Texas. Officer Devin Trotti and Officer Randy Stallard encountered a kitten stuck about 30 feet up in a tree while they were on civil standby duty. In the video, the two officers set up under the tree with the blanket, and one officer yells, “Come on down, cat!” The kitten jumps and the officers catch it with the blanket. The kitten, a female now named “Trotti” after one of the men who saved her, was taken to a local animal shelter and is up for adoption.

  1. True story…. I once called the non emergency line bc I looked out my back door and my cat was stuck about 40 ft up in a tree…. the dispatch asked me how many dead cats I've seen in trees and said good luck…. my cat was def r-worded after that fall.

  2. This is ridiculous! Cats already have their own system for recovering from a fall. It is instinct and body design. When a cat falls, it uprights itself and arches it's back to survive the fall.
