  1. What's with the "extradite them to America", they didn't break the law in America, lets look at another example, if a tourist is killed by an American in America would the US extradite the the American to the murdered persons Country…..I think not……

  2. Most islands in the Bahamas are very safe and the people are super friendly. As cruisers, generally we avoid Nassau and Freeport but the family islands are safe. Be careful not to label.

  3. Depends on where they dumped them, there's a lot of little islands in between Grenada and St. Vincent, most of the tiny ones aren't inhabited, but still their chances are pretty slim unfortunately.

  4. My heart goes out to these folks and their family. This guy referring to the suspects as ‘gentleman’ threw me for a loop!
The boat was anchored, not in a marina. His comment about the Bahamas being dangerous was BS unless in Nassau. There are over 1200 islands in the Bahamas most of which are very safe. I have been sailing there for over 40 years without incident but I am very careful if I have to go to Nassau for any reason.
Grenada is a very popular spot for cruising sailboats and generally pretty safe.
So unbelievably sad that this happened 💙

  5. You don't need to have an arsenal, but you should have multiple means of defense when at sea. There are considerably more pirates at sea today, and they are most certainly not gentlemen or even erstwhile Robin hoods.

  6. Your news is incorrect. These sailors were not at a marina but at a mooring ball. Big difference. Maybe more research before reporting. Also slamming Bahamas is improper without knowing. As a sailor and licensed Captain, false rumors are damaging.
