  1. People can be mentally ill and make a conscious decision to take somebody else's life with a gun. They're not so mentally ill that they do not understand what they are doing and that their actions are wrong. And that's what it boils down to whether or not you can appreciate that your actions are wrong and understand consequences for that. Nicholas Cruz new very well that his actions were wrong but he chose to do it anyway. People all over the country are being assaulted raped and murdered by mentally ill people and you can't keep them out of prison because of it. Prison is the best place for them to keep them away from the rest of us. As far as the death penalty goes I believe if you understand that your actions are wrong and you choose to make that decision then you do deserve the death penalty especially when you murder 17 people and only quit when there's nobody else to kill.

  2. I honestly don't think that for the 2 young girls that died did so due to social media it self. Dont get me wrong there death is a tragedy and those trends should not existe. We as a community should check what the trends are and educate our kids and families about things that are dangerous. And my reason for not blaming social media is really simple its by experence. Let me explaine. When I was 13 ,in 1990, there was none of that and a goodbye party (student exchange group) we played a choking game. We were students from all walks of life from a rural town with just a 1000 or 2000 that year. We in grade 8 if I remember correctly, and it still happend. so blaming social media on everything is not the solution in my oppignion.

  3. George Floyd case, what’s really chilling is that although every single person watching this happen could see it would result in death?
No action was taken to stop this officer,in fact the other officers aided him, time it took is horrific.

  4. The case of the children is awful, my heart goes out to their families but you have to police your own children. I raised 4 kids to adulthood in the peak of social media but I was on top of their shit. Parents are responsible for their kids period.

  5. I hear both sides of the capital punishment argument they’re making. There was the death penalty prior to this tragedy and it didn’t deter Cruz, in fact he was looking for suicide by cop. So in giving him the death penalty you’re feeding into exactly what he wants. It is also a huge financial burden on the community that is trying to heal. It costs millions in appeals for death penalty cases, keeping an inmate for life is high but typically doesn’t reach the million dollar mark.

  6. It’s incredible that there was finally an arrest in the Kristen Smart murder. I was in college and roughly the same age so I will never forget hearing about this story. I’m glad her family finally gets answers they’ve deserved for so long.

  7. He's not LEGALLY mentally ill, he's not psychotic, he understands right from wrong and he wanted to do wrong. He hadn't been dissociated for a year and a half, off in his own dream world of not knowing it was wrong to kill people, it wasn't "that day," it was for months. Deliberate, purposeful act. He didn't slaughter all those people to create a situation to s*icide by cop, he did it to "make families suffer." Being convicted of a felony already is indeed an aggravating factor, probably the reason he was actually charged with what normally would have been punished by the prison system.
Parents can't know what their kids are doing at all times, that's helicoptering to the extreme. It produces neurotic kids. The platform should not be presenting how-to-unalive-yourself videos and 9 year olds should not have unsupervised screen time before they're old enough to process the content. (There are some people far older who probably shouldn't have screen time either but First Amendment says government shall make no laws…)

  8. Yes thank you for educating people about the law YES educating and giving wisdom about the law is absolutely the very best you can give to your fellow may dear! Thank you for taking the time to give WISDOM for it's priceless!!

  9. I agree with Dr. Tracy. I think it would be a worse punishment in this case for cruz to get life. Death for him almost seems like a reward. Also correct me if I’m wrong if he gets life the the victims and families don’t have to go through the pain of an appeal if it was to ever happen.

  10. There's no place in the world for people who take lives, sorry! If its not the governments job to kill people, then its the tax payers job to pay for them to be facilitated until they die? Is that right? Do you even care how much this costs us for each inmate? Kristin Smart should push her LEFTOID WAYS somewhere else. Tax payers shouldnt be forced to pay for these criminals vacation in the pen.

  11. On Cruz . I would like to know why his attorneys got him a waiver for the tour of school ( tomorrow is jury tour of school ).
I would conjecture that he would LOvEeee to be there.
Is it likely because of jury being more “ creeped” out with him standing back in the school ??? Anybody know ??

  12. I have been a subscriber on Spotify and I’ve been waiting for you to discuss the El Paso shooting. The shooter is still awaiting trial the judge issued a gag order on the D.A, the D.A hired out of city attorneys. Etc etc. Would love to hear your take on this hate crime.

  13. I am not saying that he doesn’t deserve punishment , and it is clear that he needs to be behind bars until he dies. I don’t believe in death sentence but if there just be a Capital punishment it should only be for all those people of power making those guns available and making money out of it.

  14. I’m sick and tired of hearing about this wacko. If he wants to die so badly, God knows he’s in the right place with the right kind of people to grant him his wish. Hopefully the final chapter in his short, disturbed life is already being written.

  15. She’s right and wrong, the ultimate penalty should be death for domestic terrorism and the amount of people he killed. He’s not ever needed in society or prison. It would set a precedent for anyone wanting to do mass shootings in the future that they will not live if caught. He’s a Brenton Tarrant, extreme right wing racist online mass shooter in waiting.. no there’s nothing off about sharing pretzels with the interrogator, it’s a form of compliance to keep the person being interrogated talking so in an interrogation it’s normal to mirror the other person. The woman is wonderful but not up to the task of interrogating a terrorist that needs to be put down..

  16. 25:25 saw a documentary on her and I am convinced she is under a concrete slab at the property of the Flores family. The people that rented that house heard an old-school watch alarm go off every morning at like 5 AM under the concrete. Crazy story

  17. Curious who's paying for Cruz's defense team……..is this yet another Jodi Arias situation where taxpayers expended millions for her defense. I heartily agree with Josh: the ultimate hideous crimes deserve the ultimate punishment.
