So Brooke Jenkins was put in office by wealthy residents to throw more homeless people in jail. Thats suppose to help?
I came here after learning of Brooke Jenkins' appointment as SFO DA. She certainly seems very level headed and fair in her assessment of the situation facing SFO. I hope she will be very successful.
Why all this podcasts 🙁 omg, how far do i have to scroll to find a normal docu
I think it should only apply to people of color, since they were subjected to slavery.
it was VERY shocking to hear that although LA consists of only 6% of Black ppl, they account for 35% of homicide victims.. W.O.W.
I love how you said addicts aren’t criminals. I couldn’t agree more.
I became an opiate addict after being r@ped and I got PTSD from it and I self medicated because my pain was too hard to bear. I’ve had depression and anxiety and ADHD since second grade. I’ve committed a few misdemeanors allegedly and sadly they all can be connected back to my mental health issues and sometimes my addiction. Every single one. I’m an extremely empathic person and feel remorse for the crimes I’ve done.
I live in Utah which is not a very progressive state, and I wish they did some more to make criminal charges progressive here. It seems like San Francisco are on one side and Utah is on the other side. I feel so sad for the homeless in SF and I hope you guys can find a middle ground where we can house the homeless and eliminate a lot of the filth and crimes there because of it. In Salt Lake City we have a huge problem with the problem too but it’s being handled way too authoritarian in my opinion. We have to find a middle ground!
Regressives believe that criminals are the helpless victims of capitalism and colonialism, and that law-abiding taxpayers are mean and greedy oppressors. Killing bad people is the best way of ensuring they never commit another crime again. Three felonies and you should never be allowed to leave prison.
You mean Liberal DemoncRats… like most attorneys are today. Disgusting policies. Lock them Up. There really are no "alternatives" for most hardened criminals. That is why we had laws like 3-strikes. I worked in a Maximum Security Facility for 25 years. I know. BTW, I was very respected by Most of the Incarcerated; because I was fair, consistent, and honest with them. I also did not judge them, that had already been done. I however, would not want them living in my neighborhood or around my loved ones.
BEFORE Boudin, we had George Gascon – ALSO being recalled. For the SECOND time. BEFORE Gascon, we had Kamala who announced, at her swearing in, she would never charge the death penalty, which totally pi$$ed off the POA b/c first case in was the trial of a guy who'd killed an SFPD officer
I am a 62 year old Native American WOMAN.!!!! I know the difference between male and female, boy and girl and can certainly define man and woman in definitive terms that I celebrate as God's immaculate creational TRUTH.!!! I believe in the sanctity of individual sexual innocence and understand the importance of maintaining a society where NO ONE has the right to infringe on the sexual innocence of another, especially minors, and will see to it that anyone speaking to a minor about their "sexual orientation" will be prosecuted as a criminal sexual deviate.!!! I nominate MYSELF as a TRUE JUDGE by GOD.!
I'll give you progressive if you want progressive. Firstly,.. ALL forensically proven serial murders and pedophiles to be removed from our living population.! Second, … ALL lies are illegal.!! Third,.. LAW is for getting to the TRUTH of a matter.!! Therefor ANY lawyer defending someone they know is guilty is also guilty of aiding and abetting. PERIOD.!!! I really am beginning to see that it is I that must straighten out the world's mess.
A progressive prosecutor is someone who believes in fairy tales and magic dust. Someone more concerned with the illusion of rehabilitating criminals than the safety, life, liberty of law abiding citizens. A progressive prosecutor is someone who does not believe in the agency of criminals. A person who would rather blame society than hold criminals accountable for thier actions.
Call Biden. It's all his fault, even though he is a walking corpse.
Rich people bail themselves out all the time regardless of their crimes so maybe change the laws
You lost me with all these podcasts….this is beyond lame now
When describing Sacramento you described Tucson AZ. Never had I seen so many homeless people, so many drug addicts, obvious prostitution, many with obvious mental illnesses and some obviously combine drugs are just plain scary. Many tent cities popping up around town everywhere especially because half of California moved over here. This started around 2008, when the market crashed and banks, big business, etc. we’re bailed out. Many lost their homes and banks sold them to realty companies very cheaply. Especially to wealthy Chinese, wealthy Chinese realty companies, etc. these raised the rental prices by almost doubling it. This hasn’t stopped up to this day in Tucson especially Californians moving here so rapidly, this includes homeless people. Wages paid in California can’t compare to what employees are payed here in Tucson AZ. Crime rates are up a whole lot, these people on streets stealing constantly and doings drugs among other intimate situations all out in public and accidents are now very common daily. Did I mention the disgusting filth everywhere? Trash, clothes, mattress, dressers, old couches, you name it. This filth and homeless increased greatly during the pandemic but this should of decreased all this not increase it. It’s ridiculous and disgusting. Never in over 40 yrs. had Tucson looked like this.
I can understand the feelings about the effects on the city from the unhoused community. But how do we offer programs to help those folks rather than just complaining about “the filth”. These are humans who need help. Public bathroom access
Gascon was bought by George Soros. Time to wake up Los Angeles.
The chaos and crime are the intended consequences.
My brother in law is a drug addict and constantly gets in trouble. Hes always in and out of jail because he’s always getting bailed out. I wish they would just keep him so he can get some type of help for his addiction. Instead he’d rather get out, roam the streets, steal in order to get high, get caught for stealing, just to get bailed out and do it all over again. Everyone has tried their best to help him sober up and placing him in rehab doesn’t help because he ends up leaving the very next day. I just feel so sorry for his babies. (This is in the state of Delaware by the way; New Castle County to be exact). I’ll never understand it in this state.
You know who got bail this week in Harris County (Houston)? A drunk guy (2 previous DUIs) who slammed his truck into a patrol car, causing it to burst into flames. The cop burned to death. He’s out on bail.
Wow
All these speculations are ridiculous 😂😂😂
The criminal justice system AKA upholding societal acceptance. If there is a law and you break it, YOU THE PROSECUTOR SHOULD PROSECUTE.
How do you be a public PROSECUTOR but not charging 35 time criminal that IS A DANGER TO THE PUBLIC
STEALING, STABBING, HURTING, MURDERING, FRAUDING, SHOPLIFTING, AND ANYTHING THAT IS ON THE BOOKS SHOULD BE CHARGED.
I'm not sure why not prosecuting consensual adult sex work was grouped together with not prosecuting camping on sidewalks and defecating on the street. In one case, you are not affecting other people. In the other, you are. Adult consensual sex work should be decriminalized the way it is in New Zealand. Otherwise, great video!
So that explains all the yuppies in Dallas
The USA: has the death penalty,
Solitary confinement practices that go radically against international standards of torture, a prison system that is the embarrassment of the developed world, anormally long prison sentences, and more.
Also USA: what do we do about our lenience problem?
