The police are investigating three commercial robberies that occurred on three consecutive days by the same armed man. The crimes took place between October 7th and October 9th, 2024, in West Philadelphia. In each case the offender, described as an older black male, enters a local comer store, brandishes a pistol and demands money before fleeing the scene on foot.
Incident #1:
DC 24-19-067210
On Monday October 7, 2024, at 1:30 pm an unknown black male in all black clothing entered the Haverford Mini Market located at 5450 Haverford Avenue armed with a handgun demanding money from the employee. After giving the suspect money from the cash register, the suspect fled and was last seen running north on 55th towards Westminster Ave. No employees were injured during the incident.
Incident #2:

On October 8, 2024, at approximately 12:54pm, an unknown black male entered the Eagles Food Market located at 4823 Chester Avenue and approached the register and pulled a firearm out of his waistband, pointing it at an employee demanding money. After giving the suspect an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled the store in an unknown direction.
Incident #3:
DC 24-19-067844
On October 9, 2024, at 10:52 AM, an unknown black male entered the Vine Deli and Grocery store located at 262 N. Simpson St and purchased cigars. The suspect then pulled a handgun and
pointed it at the employee demanding money from the register. The suspect then walked around and tried to get behind the register when the employee grabbed the firearm and wrestled it out of his hands with the assistance of another employee. The suspect then fled and was last seen towards 65th St on foot. Nothing taken and no injuries were reported.
