  1. I am a fan of Alec Baldwin but he is arrogant and was reckless if he would have taken the handling of a weapon more seriously this could have been avoided. I get time is money but you cant rush the armor and if you are going to then have 10 of the same guns loaded and checked and rechecked. Ive seen interviews and the whole bunch were just careless

  2. Who was in charge, who was the producer, who hired the underqualified armorer and prop directors? Who brought the live rounds onto the set? Who pointed a gun directly at a person and who pulled the trigger?

  3. Wow, I was going back and forth on who to believe. Both sides had good arguments but the guy in the glasses really articulated his argument of why Baldwin has culpability and why it raised to that level of criminal negligence. If I was part of the jury and this was the trial, I would have found Baldwin guilty.

  4. Baldwin is a 🤡 Deserves all the heat. He cut corners that led to this horrible incident. He needs to be behind bars not for punishment but to send a message that cutting corners with like hiring incompetent armors to save a few bucks is not the way to and you will go to prison if you do. Hollywood gets away with a lot of things. Let's see if they get away with murder…again.

  5. As the armorer here pointed out, Baldwin was warning others to move out of the gun's pointed direction, because he was shooting, but contrary to the armorer's argument, doesn't that show he was acting responsibly? Baldwin claims he didn't pull the trigger, which I actually believe now because of how he was conscious about it during the previous day of filming. Now, the question is; does he have to check the gun even if he was not supposed to shoot?

  6. Just want to ask those Big Shot investigators, "Who put a Live Round into that Gun"? Baldwin is the easy target. I do not like his political stance but he trusted his crew and they let him down. So hey cops, Someone loaded that cylinder. Don't you know how to question suspects? Hows that crime lab workin out on this case?

  7. Its unclear why Baldwin even had the weapon during a break and why it was not properly stored while filming was not going on. But one Glaring fact (and ) rule should apply in this case : NEVER leave a LOADED GUN……..around Alec Baldwin.

  8. Baldwin's main problem is that he wasn't just a paid actor on the set.

He was also an Executive Producer, so he was one of the people responsible for ensuring a safe work environment.

    His defence is

The Armorer (that I hired) had a history of negligence ( that I should have fired her for) and she handed me a loaded weapon ( that I didn't check ) I then pointed that gun directly at someone ( Breaking my own safety rules) and shot her.

Now you see why he denies pulling the trigger , it's his only defense.

Being one of the people legally responsible for enforcing safe working conditions is going to make things tough for his defense team , if the previous prosecutor hadn't screwed up he'd most likely already be convicted.

  9. He is lucky to be charged with involuntary manslaughter.

As one of the producers, he has a high level of accountability.

    Live ammo on a set?
    Armorers have first supervision.
I heard guns and ammo were hanging out on a table that anyone could access it.

Then you have what is regulated on set or the "norm". Any deviation is easy to prove negligence, but does it reach gross negligence?

So involuntary manslaughter is the lowest charge.

And he should not be the only person facing charges.

  10. It is refreshing to hear someone say "Its irrelevant" regarding live ammo on a movie set. The armorer is right as it makes no difference if the set is ankle high in live ammo; everyone handlng a gun needs to verify that their gun is safe. Then, treat it as if it's loaded. That means never shoot an unchecked gun at the cinematographer, or anyone, during a rehearsal.
