Stop making this guy a victim. It's not convincing imo. The journalist is not crying for an innocent man, wrongly convicted. He cleaned up a murder scene for his buddy's mom, for Pete's sake. I agree that his sentence was extreme. But he was definitely involved (as he even admits). Seeing the interviewer crying about this guy was sickening. I'm sure the murder victim would enjoy a dance or two herself, but dead people can't dance…
You are still learning at the age of 50. Still at 18 you are a kid with not clear idea of what is reality. Buy I guess if you kill someone at that age, the family of the victim won't care your age or gender, right?
I would of said your mass
Ask the victims.whatever they decide
To me it sounds like self defense. This boy was being abused physically, mentally and sexually. Also, teenagers brains aren't fully developed until mid 20's…..The friend shouldn't have received that type of punishment. This wasn't planned.
Is there an update on this case?
They ALWAYS claim abuse.. Why would you believe a murderer?
yes they should
Some teenagers do deserve life in prison, especially when they kill another child. That child couldn't live their life fully so why should the killer be out? In this case, no Eric didn't deserve it.
Eric did not deserve that sentence. He should have been charged with his role in cleaning up the crime scene & that's it, but not First degree murder! I don't think the other child deserved a life sentence either!
he is free !!!
Why did Nathan only attack his mother and not his father? Were his accusations of physical and sexual abuse against his parents ever substantiated? If so, then the justice (sic) system deserves some of the blame for what happened and his sentence should be reduced.
All situations are different this kid was not given a chance if he did not kill he should not have to spend life in prison but when we have evil in our government who hate America this guy ain't going to be helped
They are not related to me at all but I remember hearing about this case years ago though
Put them under the jail!!!!
LOOK FOR KIM KARDASHIAN YOU GUYS AND I MEAN IT
The problem becomes the he could have stopped it instead of stopping it he helped him cover it up so yeah he's right where he deserves to be that's like if you're with somebody in a car when they shoot somebody if you don't call for help you're just as guilty as they are
sentencing was overkill man
Old Sparky for them
I have no problem with the sentence of life without parole for the murderer. The other guy, give him 25 years and a 10 year parole.
The fact that his friend was going through such a horrible life that he snapped and no one took that into account. They were children, one just wanted his friend out of that horrible situation and they other didn’t want to die. And the system just F them😡😡😡
This has been happening to children of color for years.
Yes
A killer will always be a killer
Erik didn’t kill anyone! He didn’t even help to kill anyone. Yes, it was wrong to clean up the crime scene and he should have gotten jail time but not the long sentence he did
Truly a rehabilitated man nothing but the best to him
ThTs insane ! Where is the intent ?
This is disgraceful. Poor kid. Can't believe the killer is getting out. But Eric should have gotten maybe 5 years max
At their they know right from wrong…they kill they pay the price..no sorrow for them. I was abused and I didn't kill.
A real life “Peyton Place” in Colorado.
A very wrong sentence. He did not carry out the killing. He should have been given a fine or a few months in the county jail for perverting or attempting to pervert the course of justice.
