  1. Happens all the time on my local lakes, dock owners think they own the water. I keep a piece of paper in my boat that has the Georgia anti-harassment of hunters/fisherman law on it as well as a copy of the navigable water's laws to shut them down. I also have the local ranger's phone number in case the land/dock owner just doesn't get it or really tries to escalate. Luckily, I have not had to use that number yet. I have given a copy of those papers to some dock owners over the years. Once they understand I am within my rights to fish around their dock and they do not own the water under it they stop with the harassment.

  2. Great interaction, love the channel! Allot of other Auditors just seek out negative interactions to “Teach” the LEO’s a “lesson” by embarrassing them. There is always another way to educate people!

  3. Great, now we have sovereign citizens on water too. Peak modernity. And he even only toys with the fish instead of fishing for need/food. What a wonderful specimen. And OF COURSE HE GETS A. Woweew oooohhh yeah boys!

  4. Kudos to the officer for de-escalating the situation. Mr Royal, though? He may have been in the right. But he was absolutely antagonistic, condescending and passive-aggressive toward the marina employees. Could have handled it a lot more tactfully than he did. And how quickly his attitude shifted to playing the "nice guy" when the officer showed up when just moments ago he was (in not so many words) threatening to come up out of the water and throw hands with the golf cart employee. Whether that rises to the level of threat or "fighting words", I'm not sure. But he contributed in no small part to the escalation of matters in the first place. That whole comment about: "Thanks for coming down here and talking to me like a man. 'Cuz I'm a man." He may have been in the right here, but he's just cringe. I could easily sit here and draw conclusions from context clues about some of his other attitudes and opinions, but I'll leave it alone.

  5. One thing i like about this channel is how you present police when they do their job correctly, it makes the critics to worse officers way more valid. nice job man

  6. Yes! This is what I am always saying: let's put aside at the egos and assumptions, and talk things out. The grades assigned in this video are above reproach, and I agree with you that the fisherman could have been slightly more polite to the marina employees, but he still definitely deserves an a. Great video, as usual!

  7. Another point I give Officer Luke an "A+" for is not requiring Mr. Royal to produce an ID. According to many, many other cops (including many featured here on ATA), the mere fact that they were responding to a call (as Officer Luke was), required them to ID the people they spoke to ("so they can put it in their report"). If that were true (I know it's not), then Officer Luke just violated that law. Yes, Mr. Royal voluntarily gave his first name, but Luke did not demand an actual ID as so many other cops would have.
