Florida father Timothy Ferriter was convicted of several criminal charges for physically assaulting his adopted son with a belt and confining the teenager to a crate-sized room. The room — that was built specifically for the child in the family’s garage — had a lock only on the outside and cameras installed on the inside. The adopted son was provided only a bucket for bathroom use and sometimes meals. Ferriter faces up to 40 years in prison. His wife, Tracy Ferriter, was also arrested for similar charges and has yet to go to trial.

Waste of time: this is her experience – it is not relevant. The judge should not have allowed it.
It looks light but for someone like him is v long, plus 5 years probation and he has lost custody of all the children, bio and adopted .
The judge was enamored by the cookie cutter image of this corporate looking man. If he was less handsome, less educated, less wealthy, less polished, the judge may not have had the sympathy. The judges judgment was not sound, but unjust.
Not one of us understands the term "Downward Departure." The True Crime sites are poorly "backgrounded" if at all.
Were the Ferriters receiving compensation for the adoption of the child?
5 years? Really, that's it? Wow. I loved that judge until the sentencing.
Ok, the defendant, in his sentencing statement, never demonstrated remorse for his actions. I understand that he deserves forgiveness, if he repents
I’m glad the RAD mom was allowed to speak about the disorder. There needs to be more education on it.
The audio is so bad I think it needs cleaned up before anyone should watch it.
This is so funny! I bet not one of those letters from parents who have kids with attachment disorder suggest to confine the child to a room they’re unable to get out of 😂
An other sadist
Horrendous Step father. Poor children
Weird sentencing. I didn't like this.
Nasty judge shame on you!
Xtians anyone?
This trial was a farce
3:14:45 is when the sentence is handed down. 60 months.
Joke. What a joke.
It disgusts me that they brought a priest to watch the trial and sit next to his wife and now to have one do a statement for them… that makes me sick.
I’m so mad guys !!!!
How much did the judge get ?
This judge was paid!!!
This is crazy very disappointed in the judges decision when is his wife going to trial
