Florida dentist Charlie Adelson faces trial for allegedly hiring hitmen to kill his ex-brother-in-law, Dan Markel, a former law professor at Florida State University. Adelson is accused of being the ring leader in Markel’s brutal murder. This is the fourth and final trial in the 2014 murder case, following guilty convictions of the three others involved — Katherine Magbanua, Sigfredo Garcia, and Luis Rivera. Adelson is charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and solicitation of murder.

Katherine/Kaddie Magbanua is so inconsequential to Charlie that he can't even get her first or second name right a lot of the time.
If Donna Adelson had the sense to get therapy for her major control issues and obsessiveness, this whole story could be very different. It can't have been fun being her, being so unable to let go of anything for even a moment. She could've had a healthy, functional family. She could've kept her eldest child and grandchildren in her family. She could be enjoying a happy retirement, instead of facing the rest of her life in jail. Most of all, Dan Markel would likely still be alive. His parents would have their son and his sons would have their father.

If me or my family were being extorted and threatened I would have immediately gone to the police. The fact that this family didn't do that is proof enough to me that they were all in on the plan to kill Dan Markel. It didn't take long for the jury to see through his ridiculous stories.
