Newly released interrogation footage shows detectives interviewing former University of Arizona student Murad Dervish after he allegedly killed his professor, Thomas Meixner, in October 2022. In the video, Murad can be heard stating, “At least I fulfilled my mission” and “I’m in trouble” when officers leave the interrogation room. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie breaks down the haunting video minute-by-minute.

  1. It’s so frickin sneaky when cops be like ”Oh you want a lawyer? I totally understand. So you don’t wanna try and resolve this right now and prove you are innocent? You’d rather just stay in jail, OK.”

  2. I can't stand these detectives who, when a subject asks for an attorney, they just keep trying to get them to waive that attorney and talk to them. They should immediately stop the interrogation when someone asked for a lawyer.

  3. America is the kind of gun-obsessed place where you have to be in fear at all times that a psycho will show up and open fire.

  4. He did what he should have done other than talk too much. After he said "I want a lawyer" not another word should have been spoken. Even criminals have rights. Very smart to lawyer up innocent or guilty immediately!!!

  5. No Subtitles in your videos L&C Network??? @law&crimenetwork I thought you were better than this……😕
"I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed" lol 👾😞

  6. Professor in Atmospheric Sciences huh? Maybe he was talking too
much about those pesky "water vapor" trails in the sky. So this guy was sent on a "mission".

  7. This is a creepy dude. He's got a stay away order from some poor girl serious enough he's not allowed a gun but he's got one anyways. Crazy and creepy.

  8. What is the point where it’s not ‘alleged’ anymore? He literally admits it himself, nothing is alleged or accusatory when a confession is given lol

  9. The guy asks for a lawyer about 10 times and the detective just ignores it as if anything said after that isn’t inadmissible.

  10. What amazes me is the plan to flee to Mexico. If his life was going wrong that he couldn't continue in school, fine, go to Mexico. Why do the heinous act of killing people first? I'm not joking. So many killers put more thought into "after" they've ruined theirs and their victims' lives then in maybe starting over someplace else "before" hurting someone.

  11. This guy was incredibly proud of himself. He wasn’t hiding anything, very smug and basically mocking the detective, trying to get a rise out of him. And he then admitted it, but will probably say in court that his mission was something trivial like getting a burger. He was loving it.

  12. I’m surprised at the end when he was handcuffed behind his back when there was only one officer in the room without a back-up considering that their had been sufficient incidents where deranged and dangerous criminals with nothing to lose would attempt to lunging at police for their weapon on what could be in their minds for an opportunity to escape or to inflict further havoc, chaos and violence
