In a shocking incident caught on video, a brazen porch pirate targeted a FedEx driver as she was delivering a package containing a valuable Apple iPad on August 24. The footage shows the suspect lying in wait, ambushing the unsuspecting driver just as she was about to leave the package at the intended recipient’s doorstep. In a bold and calculated move, the thief snatched the parcel from the driver’s hands and quickly fled the scene, jumping into a waiting BMW and speeding away before the driver or homeowner could react. The audacious nature of the crime has left the community stunned and raised concerns about the safety of delivery personnel and the security of packages left at doorsteps.

The Law&Crime Network’s Sam Goldberg sat down with the homeowner to discuss the impact of this brazen theft and the larger issue of porch piracy. In the interview, the homeowner expressed their disbelief and frustration at the incident, emphasizing the sense of violation and helplessness felt when a package, especially one containing a high-value item like an iPad, is stolen from right outside their home. They also shared their concerns for the well-being of the FedEx driver, who was subjected to such a shocking and potentially dangerous encounter while simply doing their job.

  1. He was probably going home to continue his research and studying because he's going for his doctorate! Nope! 😐 He's just maintaining the stereotype of the faction of people that commit the majority of violent crimes in the United States. 🖕

  2. Something is off here. Either the fedex driver is in on it or the house owner is in on it. There is no way a thief knows the exact time an ipad is being delivered or that a box has an ipad in it beforehand

  3. They don't care. The justice system refuses to prosecute them, and gives them light sentences and plea bargains if they do. I've said it time and again, it's time to start holding prosecutors and judges accountable for allowing this.

  4. Fortunately for the home owner FedEx should be liable as the delivery wasn't exactly completed. Dude stole it right out of his hand. No different than being stolen in a warehouse the package never arrived.

  5. Everybody's information is collected by companies than shared with third parties and peoples identity and information are made precarious and unsafe by the companies we buy our products through and from. Of course its not that Amazon has created a fad of people not buying products in store where its not sitting outside for people to steal. I get thieves be thieving but bigger thieves make it easy and encourage.
