A Washington man was shot by deputies after he allegedly called 911 and said he would kill somebody if police weren’t dispatched to his home on July 4. The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said deputies shot the suspect, whose name was not released, after he allegedly brandished a fake gun. He was treated for his gunshot wound and booked into Thurston County jail on two charges of second-degree assault. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie breaks it down.

Guy must have been living in his own little world if he thinks calling the cops and talking about potentially killing someone, then approaching them with an unannounced firearm (fake or not) would have any other result than him being shot and/or arrested. High levels of self absorption and entitlement at work.

The sad thing is the officers most likely feels bad after finding out it was a fake. Even though they did the right thing.
Why dont release his name? he is a criminal, not a victim
they should add 'with a firearm' or 'with a dangerous weapon' to his charges as nobody knew the gun was fake at first, it was assumed to be real. The victims/cops will assume it's real, and as such they might perform an action that endangers their lives and the lives of others, ex: self defense, pulling out a gun and shooting back. Besides the possibility of bodily harm, they will also be traumatized by the event. Also, by cops shooting at the suspect, like it happened here, they discharged a weapon that had a small chance of not hitting the desired target but somebody else; endangering the public's and the officers safety as well.
When a person does this with a fake gun, it's nothing but attention seeking behavior. This guy is like a woman.
This channel appears to consist of little more than a collection of staged events, in which the acting is laughable. Hardly any of the videos seem to be genuine real life incidents.

Regarding the van driver. Sounds like they arrived late to the accident. An accident that was hard to miss if you have vision. Perhaps it is someone local that wanted to get involved in the accident for insurance scam/ frivolous lawsuit reasons? After realizing they killed the good samaritan. They fled back to their local residence.

Good plan to send him to hospital. I know someone who was cleared by EMS and without X-rays or MRI, they missed internal injuries that killed him when it could have been repaired.
