Atlanta Police moved quickly to save a 1-year-old girl accidentally locked in a hot car in a grocery store parking lot. And it was caught on camera. Officers decided to smash the window and free her. “I was communicating with her as much as I could through the window,” said Officer Andrew Gilchrease. “And she was calm. She’s the rock star in all of this. She was calm. She didn’t panic. I was just fortunate to be in a position to help someone that was in need.” The girl was checked out and is OK. The child’s grandmother, who locked her in the car, will not face charges because it was an accident.

  1. Good job officers. It was an honest accident. Unlike others whom walk away intentionally to shop etc. She was right there the whole time. Car window can be replaced. Daughter can't. So happy to see a good outcome on both sides.

  2. And now, cars with the key fob, it won’t let you lock it with the key inside. We’ve got a 2017 Infiniti QX60 and it beeps when you try to lock it with the key in it.

  3. This is what the world really needs to see more of. Cops doing good deeds instead of seeing the "racist" white cops shooting a black person.

  4. My little brother locked all of us outside of the car one time. He's autistic and loves to play with every object ever, pressing buttons on the key remote. We put in a call asap but the instant a pair of badges showed up and peeked in the window he starts playing with the keys again and unlocks the door lol.

  5. You'd think the police would carry a small wedge made of wood and and use that metal tool to push the electric door lock button. Just pull the top of the door back enough to get the wedge in there and push the wedge in carefully until you get a gap large enough to get the metal tool in there to push the door lock button. You don't need to destroy a multi hundred dollar door glass.

  6. All the Awesome things those men and women do as their daily duties wearing the Blue 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️. God bless you Police officers in helping the baby's mother. 😎👍🇺🇸

  7. It happened to me when I was 2, my father told me: "Hey Pe unlock the door", so I went out…

  8. At the end when the cop goes IT DIDNT HIT HER ANY DID IT? Made me love this cop even more. That’s a mistake that could happen to any of us. Plus very sweet officer. He was trying to break it without hurting the kid or scaring the child.

  9. That almost happened to me .. my husband got off the car, closed his door and I opened my door , closed it and tried to open front seat door and it's locked… My heart drooooped since my baby was in there, the car was on so that's where the keys were , thankfully my door had not automatically locked since I had manually unlocked it… Anyway be careful yall! I sure as f am now
