Florida Woman Drenched Herself in Mountain Dew to Destroy DNA After Allegedly Killing Roommate

A Florida woman accused of murdering her roommate attempted to destroy DNA evidence while in custody on July 1. Daytona Beach police said 35-year-old Nichole Maks asked for a Diet Mountain Dew after being arrested and poured it all over herself, scrubbing her blood-smudged body in hopes of erasing forensic evidence.
