  1. Murder???? sounds like another OVER-CHARGE especially if the shooter LIVED in the apartment… they will probably offer him a plea as with a good lawyer he could beat "MURDER"… most states do not require a victim to "retreat" if the victim is at "home", if the shooter calls the apartment "home" then the shooter could claim to be the victim in the fight, the dead man has a criminal history (based on the mugshot shown) shooter could used dead man's past record to try to beat the case especially if the dead man is a "known/convicted violent felon"… that female will be KEY to the case… seems that it was a legal firearm registered to shooter + the shooter did not run away + shooter surrendered to cops + shooter did not attempt to hide/conceal evidence (like tossing the gun in an attempt to keep it from authorities)… this will be a tough "Murder case" for the prosecutor if shooter pleads not guilty.

  2. I am actually proud of this officers, he surrendered and they just cuffed him instead of tackling him and kicking him after.

I am curious why it was first degree he was charged with. It means that it was premeditated and delibrate so there must be more to the story.
