Rapper YNW Melly appeared in court Friday morning for a status hearing after the judge declared a mistrial in his double murder case on July 22. The state intends to retry Jamell Demons for the murders of Christopher Thomas Jr., aka YNW Juvy, and Anthony Williams, aka YNW Sakchaser. The retrial is scheduled to begin October 2 with jury selection.

I'm so confused by the fact that Melly and sak chaser got into a fight, 2 days before these murders took place.
Melly had his gold teeth knocked out,
right in front of his girlfriend. Do you know how ambarrassing this had to be for a man with his status. Yet this wasn't mentioned once in this trial, there's motive right there. Drop the gang stuff that's window dressing, this wasn't a gang killing this was personal. Beat me up in front of my girlfriend, i gotta get sum get back.
