In real estate, trust your instinct. Defer a showing request from strangers for a few days, do due diligence of the callers and where they own etc. learn self defence before becoming a realtor.
And that every town is the place you would least expect something like this to happen in.
Was her boyfriend checked for cuts on his hands, did he have another girlfriend, was there an insurance policy enforce to include her boyfriend? Where did they get her personal phone number, you have to investigate her friends to see who they might have spoken to. This was not a clean murder and more determination in the investigation needs to be done.

I’ve been working with criminal offenders for almost 30 years. In my professional opinion, the killers are in the details. They have been there all along. The major drug bust is a loudspeaker pointing towards her demise. No simple 24-year old would make the type or kind of enemy who would use burner phones, while sending a hit team to perform an assassination. This points in one direction. Why else was she scared or fearing meeting with people? She knew someone might come for her. Most likely the drug bust was the elephant in the room. Leave the boyfriend alone. He passed a lie detector.
