22. Guys, the first thing cops are supposed to do is deescalate the situation, if their or any other person's life is in danger, that's when they shoot. The first guy was much too nice, it could have cost him his life. Knives and guns aren't the only weapons. Of course it would be easier to blow out the guys leg, but cops are taught to shoot center mass because it is the easiest to hit.

I think it’s amazing and pretty heart warming that the fact that the cop was being dragged and yet was still asking him what was wrong and that the officer was being reasonable after he was assaulted it’s just sad the suspect didn’t realize the officer was trying to prevent the shooting from happening and then he got shot it’s sad but sometimes necessary for the protection of the people who protect the community
