The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office recently released dashcamera video of a police chase where a suspect leads officers the wrong way down an access road in south Oklahoma City.
The dash camera video captures Brett Gambino, 29, driving a white and blue pickup and taking police on a chase down different streets near Southwest 44th Street and Interstate 35. Shanon Eaves, 35, and Latricia Wilson, 33, were passengers in the vehicle.
The pursuit started when a sheriff deputy noticed that Gambino appeared to not be wearing a seat belt.
When the sheriff deputy attempted to pull Gambino over, he refused to stop. At that point, the chase started.
“He went around a couple circles around the parking lot before driving through a field and getting back on the access road,†said Mark Opgrande, public information officer for the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.
Gambino eventually turned around at a Sonic Drive-In near Southeast 29th Street and Interstate 35.
He then started going southbound on the northbound access road.
