  1. I think ppl are waking up to liberal policies that are detriment to ppl of color .. so why he got donkey of the day because it's easy to hate a black republican.. social programs create complacency and stifle growth and development

  2. I can understand why he said this. Its not slavery but another form of it. Welfare destroyed the family for government handouts. It encouraged single family homes..It gives you enough to live when times are hard but the way its designed for you to stay on. These no incentive to leave it. Thats why we see generations that still on it. Some take the free ride and never get off.

  3. I strongly disagree with Charlamagne. Ben Carson said nothing about slavery. I'm 100% sure that Ben Carson was talkin about Section 8 welfare programs and things of that nature that made it so that the black woman doesn't need the black man to take care of the family

  4. He should say since slavery. It is the fondation of what you criticize every day systematic racism. It keeps people safe enough not to need to work. I was married to my wife but she refuse move with me because she didn’t want to lose her section 8 house.

  5. Why do Black Conservatives feel like they have to deny the horrors that Blacks have suffered in this country to appease the Conservative right? You can have Conservative ideas while still acknowledge the damage that this country has done

  6. i think when the slaves were freed ben carson said i'm not going i rather stay a slave than be let off the plantation and mentally he's still stuck there

  7. By Ben logic the government came in and made laws to free slaves so I guess government influence is all bad

  8. Some of the same people who told Sha'Carri "its just weed" and "its ok", are the same one defending welfare. You are incapable of seeing anything wrong or harmful because you don't want to be held to any standards. Charla wrong with this one.

  9. It actually did. Welfare actually demanded that the black man leave the home. A black woman can (not) get assistance with the man in the house.

  10. If you listen to Ben, I understand what he was trying to say. He literally wasnt trying to say we were better off in Slavery. What most people would say, is that we were better off in our own Communities because THE BLACK FAMILY was strong before integration and Welfare. Most of our Black Scholars say the same thing. CTA — Do some more research. Ben was headed in the right direction.

  11. It destroys families and cripples their independence. And to think welfare was initially created for white women who's husbands were in the war. Remember, The United States isn't a country, it's a corporation of destruction and greed.

  12. Ben Carson knows. If he ever bring tht talk around me he getting his azz whop. Spit in my face don’t talk cra about my ppl

  13. I don’t think Carson was implying that slavery was “good”, or the impacts of slavery weren’t horrible. But thereafter slavery, how the government has controlled the financial growth and family structure via welfare. Which in turn, has had a destructive impact to African Americans hereby today.

  14. Question would any of y'all prefer getting back whipped, castration, and being paid zero dollars and zero cents for your work.

    Or

Get paid to be in poverty

  15. Idk why y'all still act surprised by this dude. He made this statement a few yrs ago. He believes himself and as long as you believe in yourself no one else matters. Charlemagne this was a fair teaching moment but please don't give that guy anymore air time😌🙏🏾💜
