Nashville, Tennessee — Body camera video released by Metro Police shows three officers shot and killed a man with a knife who charged at them. It happened just after 5 a.m. on 11 August, along Charlotte Pike in West Nashville. The video shows that K-9 Officer Richard Clemmons, approached the man (whose face is blurred) as he sat in a Toyota 4Runner outside a Cricket store on Charlotte Avenue near White Bridge Road. Police had deemed the parked vehicle suspicious. The officer approached the vehicle, noticed a man inside was holding a knife and called for back-up. After additional police arrived and attempted to get the man to drop the knife and exit the vehicle, he got out of the SUV and charged at the officers. That’s when the three officers fire at the suspect and he falls to the ground. The man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.

He obviously had mental issues and that knife probably wasn't even all that sharp. Why didn't they back flip while firing taser then cartwheel over hood of squad car followed by kicking pepper spray through air then round house kick knife from hand. These cops so racist they shooting all races. He was just studying for culinary college.
You know the police officers do some kill shots in this video, Youtube asked you multiple times are you sure you want to watch, suspect in this video is guaranteed to be waring a toe tag.
Officer Phipps – was he firing at about the 3:03 mark? Very close to a straight line of fire to the unit behind. I know there are advantages to having units pulled up at all sorts of angles to "surround" the situation, but it makes for some very risky crossfires. I'm constantly amazed more officers aren't shot by their own side. Perhaps the camera just makes it look worse than it is.

I respect the officers decision here but I see a lot of knife situations where the suspect could easily be tasered rather than shot 5+ times. But like I said good call from the officers to shoot was very much needed in this situation!
Dude clearly wanted to die, they need to deal with this some other way shotgun shoots nonlethal somehow but will knock you on your ass.
