Los Angeles, California — On July 22, 2022, around 6:50 p.m., Hollenbeck Division patrol officers were in the area of Eastern Avenue and Whiteside Street, when they saw a dark-colored sedan with no license plates. The officers followed the vehicle into a parking lot where the front passenger exited armed with a firearm. The officers pursued the man on foot into a residential neighborhood. Near the intersection of Lansdowne Avenue and Drucker Street, the man, later identified as 40-year-old Lino Soltero, pointed the firearm in the officers’ direction, resulting in an OIS. Soltero was struck by gunfire and transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The loaded 9mm firearm Soltero was armed with was recovered at the scene. No officers were injured during this incident.

  1. Take out the Gangbanger Trash now if the cops could do this like 10 times a day we would all be better off and safe goodjob

  2. Looking at the pictures of his life from his obituary he looked like he had a good, strong family and was raised right. You have to wonder what happened in his life for it to end this way.

  3. How many shots was that? I think I counted 20 it was so fast lol. They needed to call a mortician not the fire dept. There was no way he survives that rain of bullets.

  4. from my armchair i realyse officer 2 was behind the suspect and runs throught officer 1s target range to take cover infront of the suspect.. now i dont do anything so i wouldnt know but… if it were a game … i wouldnt do that unless you can restart the mission.

  5. Imagine losing your life over a license plate. There are no words in any language to describe the level of stupidity from the guy running

  6. If worm meat had dropped the gun, one officer would have had to stop for it and he was unlikely to get shot and much more likely to get away vs some gun battle with 2, then 4, then 20 cops on a street corner.
