19 Year Old Arrested For Shooting In Memphis

1. Obviously the guy has mental issues, no other way to explain it unfortunately.

2. 2 counts of attempted murder, wreck less endangerment and possession of illegal firearm and gets off with a 3 year plee for aggravated assault and only served 11 months 🤦🏿‍♂️

6. 19 yr old guy just did this in Detroit a few daYs ago. Walking up a busy street shooting random people on a killing spree.
   He shot four ppl and killed 3

7. I found my first actual paying job at 19, before that I was working summer youth getting a stipend

8. I just can’t find any sympathy for this guy. I look at him like the Buffalo shooter or any other mass murderer. Thoughts and prayers to the folks effected by this.

12. I come from a really bad environment. I’m not judging the young man because I didn’t do what he did. But I made it to 32 without taking a life. It’s possible.

14. If a dog goes and mauls someone to death does anyone say he came from a bad situation or he needs rehabilitation? They euthanize them.

16. As a native Memphian, I can tell you that everyone in the city was shocked and saddened by this. I want to say a big “thank you” to the area’s law enforcement and EMS for working their hardest to stop him and help those hurt by him.

17. I appreciate how Charlemagne used this situation to speak about mental health. I don't condone the shooters actions but when a lot of these mass shooters who aren't black do it you see all of these empathetic people coming out the wood works and people praying for the shooter and in situations where they targeted black people they have a token black person telling how it wasn't racially motivated. Where is all that love and protection for the black killers?

18. I can’t stand Charlemagne the guy sometimes if the this guy was white you would be calling him the worst person in the world and that he should be sentenced forever. Making all the excuses for him in the world hundreds and thousands of people that are youth get treated terribly especially young black men but I’ve never heard of any of them use that excuse to go and shoot up people at random locations

34. Stop making excuses for bad behavior. It ain’t “the system” or bc of “failed prisons.” It starts with the nuclear family unit (father and mother). After that’s broken, there’s a higher likelihood of crime, prison, drug abuse, mental illness, kids out of wedlock, poverty, poor education, etc. I wish black ppl and all ppl would acknowledge the real problem and stop these excuses like “lack of opportunity.”
