On Sunday, January 22, 2023, at approximately 8:40 pm, an unknown person was operating a white van, possibly a Ford Econoline cargo van, east on berks Street and when turning left on to Howard Street, they struck a male bicyclist who was traveling west on Berks Street fatally injuring him. Unit #1 did not stop and was last seen north on Howard Street towards Dauphin Street. Medics pronounced the bicyclist on location.
