The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking assistance in locating the three males depicted in the above photos.
At 5:49 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023, 12th District officers responded to a radio call reporting a shooting at 6100 Passyunk Avenue. When officers arrived on location, they observed a white 2013 Nissan Maxima containing numerous bullet holes.
Officers located two gunshot victims. Victim #1, a 71-year-old male, sustained a single gunshot wound to his lower back. Victim #2, a 5-year-old child, was suffering from a single graze wound to his shoulder. Police transported victim #1 to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition. Victim #2 was transported by police to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and listed in stable condition.
Investigators heard from the child’s father that he was driving his Nissan Maxima on 61st Street with his 5-year-old son and his father when a white vehicle began firing shots at his vehicle. As he turned into the gas station, the white vehicle followed him and shot numerous times at his vehicle, and then fled west on Passyunk Avenue.
Responding officers surveyed the area and the white Kia K5 was located unoccupied in the rear of 61XX Buist Ave. The Kia, bearing Florida Tag was previously reported stolen, taken in a robbery at the Philadelphia Airport.
The PPD Special Investigation Group has identified three suspects who should be considered armed and dangerous in this investigation.
- Antwan Grimes (pictured left), 21, of 25XX South Dewey Street. Antwan is approximately 5’08†tall and weighs 140 pounds.
- Keon Smith (pictured center), 22, from 55XX Walton Street, is 5’9″ and weighs about 160 pounds.
- Amir Johnson (pictured right), 19, of 20XX South Frazier Street. He stands 6’0″ and weighs around 200 pounds.
