Israel moved out of Gaza leaving plush hills and vineyards which are now bare and deserted. Was it not possible for Palestinians to create productive exports and make a good life for themselves? I don't understand where the idea of an open-air prison can be blamed on Israel. I'm genuinely asking, was not Hamas in charge here? Why didn't they take care of their people? I hear they made weapons out of water pipes instead of bettering the lives of Palestinians.

People rather defend and believe their governments than another average Joe. Still too many people who believe that what they see on TV has more value than what their neighbour observes.
