Swedish Communist Party stands with Palestinians against Israeli occupation – Everything Law and Order Blog

“The Communist Party in Sweden—we are the strongest supporters of Palestine [out] of all the other parties in Sweden,” says Jonas Hjelm Smith, Swedish-American human rights activist and member of the Swedish Communist Party, on board the 2023 Gaza Freedom Flotilla.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition, a grassroots people-to-people solidarity movement working to end the illegal Israeli blockade of Gaza, has launched numerous Freedom Flotilla voyages since 2008. TRNN contributor, lawyer, and freelance journalist Dimitri Lascaris reports from The Handala, the flagship vessel of the 2023 Gaza Freedom Flotilla, en route from Gothenburg, Sweden, to Oslo, Norway. On board The Handala, Lascaris speaks with Hjelm Smith about why he is traveling with the Flotilla, and about the Swedish Communist Party’s unwavering support for the Palestinian freedom struggle.

  1. Let's us not forget the British government caused the situation in Palestine by giving the land away to the Zionist Jew's

Leaving the Muslim's and Christians to be terrorised the Zionist for 75 year's

❤️ let's us begin with a truth dedicated to Marry mother of Jesus.

Let's begin where we can find common ground and bring ALL people's together.

The Western World institutions FUND keeping you deaf, dumb and divided…

Remember War's make money for the institutions.

May you find true peace. In Sha Allah❤️

  2. Notwithstanding this hero, the majority of Swedes also supported the nazis. Sweden always with the inhumane. Bravo Jonas, Bravo Dimitri!

  3. What are the possible solutions to mitigate the situation in Israel? Both sides are illogically stubborn. Logheading. How can the international community pressure the dominant Israeli Jews? How can the extreme right wing party be disintegrated? How can the victim psychology Palestinians take the reality check? How to stop terrorism and excess use of violence on the both sides? So many issues that the Israel citizens must reflect on way more than outsiders.

  5. I'd like for people who say that they're "for peace" to explain why they think it's not okay for people to defend themselves from invading countries. Israel and Russia are both fascistic if not outright fascist countries, and they're aggressively invading others (Palestine and Ukraine). If you're "for peace," what do you think should happen concerning the invaders who apparently don't share your views? Realistically speaking, not ideally. We all know that the United States won't stop supporting Israel no matter what it does, even if it were to start death camps of its own. Fascism and crimes against humanity have never concerned the U.S. except as excuses to do imperialism.

Explaining what should realistically be done concerning belligerant countries is something that I don't really hear from people who say we shouldn't be helping Ukraine. Russia isn't there to create peace, but to conquer or put Russian puppets back into power. Likewise, Israel isn't there to create peace, but to conquer and displace an entire people. I'd like peaceful solutions, but when peace isn't an option because the side with more power throws its weight around, what are the rest of us supposed to do? If we do nothing then the "peace" they get will be the spread of fascism (and an entire people displaced or subjugated in the case of Palestine). If we help then there is no peace and the aggressors will be forced to pay for their aggressions.

I'm not asking because I want to do a "gotcha," but because I honestly don't understand the goal that "pro-peace" people hope to achieve, or how they hope to achieve it; if arms don't go to those countries, what is realistically (given the real, not ideal, conditions) supposed to take their place to give them some power to settle the disputes peacefully? There aren't really mass movements for Palestine or Ukraine which would pressure governments to take a different approach, just different sections saying to than send weapons or let them fight alone "because it's not our problem." I haven't really heard any explanations, only arguments of send/don't send arms because defense/peace.

  6. Is ANYONE with a large platform going to stand up for their followers on @X against Lindas #LawfulButAwful thats CRUSHING small dissent accounts? Or, is it really just about MAKING MONEY for you?

  7. In the Issraeli-run USA, "standing" with the Palestinians can actually get you in trouble. If you run a business and so much as whisper that opinion, you'll quickly find that you no longer have a business. BLACK MIRROR
