Unionization should be strictly limited to non-automatable/non-outsourceable jobs and professions only.
Service sector and even clerical jobs are now too prone to automation, digital outsourcing, and artificial intelligence.
You really don't want to piss away resources unionizing a workplace just to have those positions eliminated via mechanization.
It would be tantamount to unionizing a factory just before management ships production overseas and south of the border.
