  1. If you could post a brief clip on how to show support to supplement your panel discussion that would would be more accessible and could reach far more people. Now would be a great time as Biden and congress are poised to stop (how?) a strike.

  2. What people also need to know and i never heard it talked about, has to do with working conditions on the road trains, did you realize we get no breaks and no lunch when you work on the road, the yard jobs get a 20 minute lunch and no breaks. road crews get NO BREAKS AT ALL, YOU ARE SUBJECT TO WORKING 12 HOURS WITH ZERO BREAKS, thats unheard of for most of the workforce in this country. Also it's not uncommon to have to piss in a bottle because you don't stop the train to use the bathroom, no bathroom breaks, no breaks at all. MOST OF THE GUYS I WORK WITH ARE JUST TRYING TO GET 20 YEARS IN AND GO OUT ON DISABILITY. THAT'S SAD BUT TRUE. they don't think they can do an entire 30 years doing this job.

  3. My husband has been working for UPRR the last 35 years, his father before him and his grandfather before that. These last 10 years have been hell! Pure crap! Forget planning or doing anything with family or friends. Nope,Herb has to go to work 😒 He was going to retire, now he just wants to fight🤬

  4. Given that Congress can force RR workers back to work, I'm losing any sense of what the strike accomplishes for you guys. End of the day, aren't you, like the HAVE NOTS in America, sort of just screwed??
By the end of it, I fear that this may get gruesome enough that striking workers, in mass, will have to be prepared to quit.
Isn’t that so easy to say?
If enough pain is applied, the corporate side will [have to] cave!
Me? I’m merely a Have Not, so what do I know…

  5. solidarity ?! the new definition of – sitting at home, using zoom or what chat site, and showing a lot of solidarity as verbiage.

  6. Offf topic: Did YT cancel Chris Hedges again? Is that why all his reports now immediately show up on this channel? I can no longer pull up The Chris Hedges Report on YT anymore. Must have happened again within the past few weeks?

  7. I have a question so I’m imagining even if Congress forces the workers to go back to work what’s stopping you from saying yeah no? I’m imagining they throw y’all in jail. So they gonna throw the entirety of Rail road workers into jail?

  8. What specifically do you need the average individual to do to support the railway system? We supported the return of Amtrak in the Southeast but have yet to see it come back.

EDIT: Okay, you get into it, got it!

  9. This is probably top five most important issues we are facing yet very few even care to become informed. Its infuriatingly ignored.

  10. Your unions are stalling. Scrap them and go on strike. These greedy owners do not deserve your life. Don’t keep waiting for the longer you wait the easier for the subject can be forgotten. Everyone will feel it, but eventually everyone will feel it as they are going to get used like worthily cogs. You have our support!!!

  11. "The Chinaman built the Railroad, The Indian saved the Pilgrim and in return the Pilgrim killed' em" (Nas)

  12. I worked as a subcontractor with the RR and I stand with the RR workers striking. Even if it does raise prices for products even though the prices are to high already, because the works life's and safety is more important than price of product

  13. Without our trains, nurses, truck drivers, those who serve this country via the military, postal workers, sanitation workers, our farmers, the self employed, pet rescue workers, grocery clerks, doctors, scientists, you all are critical, you are the powerful. I have been preparing for what this country is about to experience that has not been experienced by the vast majority of citizens who live in the USA. Some of us had or have immigrant parents, grew up in poverty and pulled ourselves up, have gone through brutal recessions, have lost everything we've worked for because we were taken advantage of by the corruption that surrounds us. I grew up in a union home and I support all of you. I have lived through the best of times and I'm ready for what's to come, because I have prepared. As a prepper, we are working hard and diligently to get everyone to do the same. Get ready or you will only be able to survive if you beg or are a hostage to the system. Our media is not helping and we must fight the propaganda that is insisting everything is just fine, no worry. Total lies! Many of us will work to help those who are unable to be able to have enough to get by. But, this is going to happen and, with a full fledged passion we support and urge you to do everything you must do to win the battle each and everyone of us is facing, you must go to any degree to do so. You are our backbone and the reason we pledge to keep doing our part so that we can regain our footage and continue to keep our freedom. We love you, all of you. Many hearts are heavy, but our eyes are filled with tears of hope and joy.

  14. Congress could step in and make th RR STRIKERS GO BACK YOUR WORKERS GO BACK TO WORK. THIS IS INSANITY.( 40 TO 7 NOW. ) R.R CARRIERS AND WORKERS ARE DIFFERENT. IT SEEMS CAPITALISM SLOWLY GOT ALL WHAT IT WANTS. MY PAPA WORKED THE RR FOR 35 YEARS. 40, 50, 60'S . I AM WITH THE WORKERS 💯 THIS WILL TAKE A REAL FIGHT THAT IS RIGHT. IN THE SPIRIT OF DEBS!!!! SOLIDARITY!!!!🚦🛣🛤🚦

  15. Youre right, Max- the corporate class is gouging at our guts to make sure we are fiscally incontinent; pliable and docile automatons, at their disposal. Im former Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way w BNSF. IATSE, now. Probably not gonna change, with Democrats and Republicans maintaining a bipolar monopoly on legislation, and the Judicial branch whoring itself out to big Oil and other corporate interests. I think I'd follow a bunch of Gandy dancers into a revolutuon…

  16. Its not workers that make the companies profitable, its the executives!

Its all the executives that make those trains run. Call them on it!
See if those 12 guys can keep it all going.

  17. Being a former rail road worker iwas appealed at the state of the railway it's elf the csx railroad I blame your bosses
