Celebrating their 80th year Anniversary, Florida Highway Patrol brought out their awesome Police Car Retro Fleet which included 1993 Ford Mustang 5.0 SSP, 2002 Chevy Camaro Z28, 1939 Ford Deluxe, and their 2011 Ford Crown Victoria. We drove around a Nascar track-Homestead-Miami Speedway and Lt. Camacho returned to run down his awesome fleet!

So the last gen of the cvpi was on 2011, it means that they’re 10 yrs old so eventually we won’t see any more CVPI working on the streets as cop cars smh 😔

The crown vic is sexy
Biggest problem with the 5.0 Mustangs is that in a high speed collision, they had a tendency to split in half just behind the driver’s seat. Made for easy extrication of the victims but not for good outcomes. 30 years as a Paramedic, and yes, I saw it myself several times.
That Camaro ain't squat dude!!! Trooper Robert French had a Camaro IRoc Z that was given to him from a drug confiscation.

I lived in Florida for 45 years and I never seen a Camaro FHP
Near Lake Mary I seen a FHP pickup. It had the perfect FHP color scheme and had front and rear ka band radar….and thru the years I seen FHP motorcycles in Orlando and Jacksonville
