2. Opioid Crisis has only created an absolute NIGHTMARE for cancer and pain patients to get their pain medications! This has caused more people to just commit suicide instead of suffer in agonizing pain anymore! What are patients and their doctors supposed to do?! So easy for people to just ASSUME why pain medication is prescribed. Do you know what Leukemia bone pain feels like? How about severe nerve damage? What if it NEVER goes away?! Who is speaking up for patients anymore?! This is a nightmare created by politicians looking for votes and media looking for viewers! Why don’t you cover the OTHER side to opioid usage?!

13. I loved that Fabian said he didn't want to return to normal because we can do better. I'v been saying that from the beginning, our normal really wasn't that great. We can do better. We can start manufacturing. It will be small at first but it will grow. I'v seen an army of women sewing & cooking in mass, we can expand this into other areas. Not saying it's going to be easy but I think we are up to the challenge. LOL If your gonna dream, dream big.

Very fine episode and am pretty sure it's the first I've listened to so far, BUT referring to a little following 27:00, maybe 28:00, you speak of applying for UI, unemp. insurance, differing from one state to another and the guest also comes to say that the govt, by which I think he's meaning federal, though am not sure, for maybe he means state, well, it's odd that the application process and eligibility criteria would vary between states, and I wonder what exactly is meant by the govt, whichever level it is, having resources the govt doesn't use to help the population of people who'd normally be working but due to COVID-19 and possibly some other reasons, well they're not working and would therefore really benefit from receiving U.I. I wonder what resources are meant. As for the application process and eligibility criteria, I didn't apply for U.I. at all in the US (could have and just didn't) and only know of having received it in Canada, where it's a federal program and not a provincial one, in which case it could differ from one province to another. AFAIK, it's standardized across all of Ca. If a person was fired, then I think this is used to deny the U.I. benefits, but the only other problem I ever knew of in terms of whether a worker was denied the benefit, or not, is the number of weeks worked full-time. Just f.e., if the person worked f-t 26 or more weeks, and wasn't out of work due to being fired, then … automatic U.I., but if the person worked f-t for less time, then U.I. would be denied; something like that anyway. I got it in both Quebec (very early 1980s) and in Ontario (first half of 1990s), and didn't really see any difference worthy of mention. It all seemed the same to me, only the offices being different due to whatever buildings they were part of. Just checked and it's definitely federal, https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/ei/ei-regular-benefit.html. EI in Canada is aka UI in the USA, so employment, vs unemployment, insurance. SAME thing, for the insurance is for the same purposes in both cases. I wonder why it isn't federal also in the US. Making it federal would make this more fair, for it seems, according to you, that getting U.I. in Florida is a lousy matter, whereas good or definitely better in Maryland. That definitely isn't fair.

17. If people make more money on unemployment than they are working it means employers need to offer higher wages.

Go bra tell them that jest becase they have a job.does not mean they have the right to look down on people.not avery body has a relative keeping the working.and one more thing is this legal system pushes people in to homelessness .drummed up charges people takeing plea deals to get out of jail to go back to work to find out they doint have a job.becase the violated the attendace record.or the child support court looking up working dads .to tell them they owe more money.set in jail for 3 month lose your job. Now how or you suppose to pay.
