In the UK The clock starts as soon as you are in custody, They have 24 Hours to normally charge you with a crime, A Magistrate can extend to 36 Hours if good reason, Beyond that requires a judge, Whom can extend to a maximum in the extreme to 28 Days, There is no beyond that, If no charges are brought, They must be released, In this case you an clearly observe a Police Officer hit a woman to the head with a closed fist, The Covid 19 Is no excuse, A simple video link to a Judge should take only a moment and release her, She has already spent more time in Jail than for any alleged crime she committed, Besides all that , There is no reason for her not to have legal counsel and it looks like it`s the Police Officer who should be in trouble
