This is total BS from Google and Apple, they have already been providing all of our information, location, everything, to the government for years. Anyone that knows anything about tech security knows that's the case. That was part of what Snowden revealed to us all, remember that? They're just trying to use this pandemic as a way to admit what they're doing without public backlash.

Good luck with getting any of my phone information, I'm in control of when I choose to let the carrier know the time & location of where my phone is used.
Only 2 words you need to know to protect your phone & data, FARADAY CAGE.
You need to get one ASAP before everyone finds out about them. Can't be defeated & it's guaranteed to work. Test by checking your location in Google maps.
Samsung & other phone manufactures changed the battery location on purpose to prevent you from replacing the battery yourself, so you will have to pay someone with the tools/equipment to replace it, last & most important, to make sure the phone's battery is intact so the location can still be tracked even if it's powered off.
