1. Open the damn doors and let these prisoners go home. 95% of these people belong there at all. As a matter of concern to me is that we would put any human being or animal in a cage. The very small percentage that need monitoring can reside in a rehab or whatever is appropriate beside a cage and have their human rights fully respected. Come on people. This is the 21st century. The government needs to close the prisons altogether and since they’ve decided not to come back to work “because it’s too risky “. They can just stay home. We don’t need a congress that can’t function and do we really need a president?
   We can do this better ourselves .

To all the people saying they shouldnt have done the crime if they didnt want to do the time…. remember, many, many of these prisoners have not even been to court yet, let alone been convicted of anything. If you cannot afford bail, you are screwed. You can be arrested for walking down the street and accused of any number of crimes. Good luck then affording a lawyer to prove your innocence. Our justice system is not just, stop acting like it is.
