After a series of explosions, the largest oil refinery on the East Coast said they were shutting down. But then they declared bankruptcy and said they plan to reopen.

  1. They should be the last people to give ANY input on what happens to peoples jobs. There are laws and regulations refinery's have to follow and if they are caught breaking those laws and regulations they could get fined. No chemicals that are released into the air cause asthma or cancer and if they found that it did they would of shut the place down years ago. The chemicals are safe because they are made into steam, not smoke. If they have an issue they should move away from the refinery, it has been there longer than they have been alive.

  2. Vote Mead2020 (0rg) and that facility would produce zero emission fuel that made water vapor when oxidized, your electric cost would drop to 5 cents per kwh, you'd have a job earning $50/hour, free healthcare, free college and pay zero taxes.

  3. What continues to amaze me is the sheer level of ignorance of the general public with regards to the nonexistent relationship between refineries and what libertards refer to as climate change: THERE IS NO RELATIONSHIP. Refineries have zero net effect on our climate and as to the levels of "pollution" coming from a refinery; there is none. All refineries are subject to Title 5 Federal EPA Air Permits and have to go through excruciating measures to be in compliance and AVOID air discharges. The "smoke" from a refinery is excess steam, you know, like boiling water. This refinery is doing whatever they can to make sure you can still buy a gallon of gas for less than $5.00 because if they shut down there will be a shortage of fuel and watch the retailers do to the price when and if that happens. Try getting a scientist who actually knows what really is going on for your news reports instead of some air headed bimbo and a clown with a nose ring. Furthermore you DON'T give antibiotics for asthma, a simple treatment of albuterol relieves the symptoms in seconds and would not have kept any normal person in bed for a week and half unless you're just that stupid. As to having an effect on children, try looking at vaccines for the real culprit and stop looking for something that doesn't exist from a refinery.

  4. * Yes We Can * In Holland (Europe) the grid is our battery, we put SolarEnergy on it and take it back when it is winter or no Sun. Our house does only have A++ electric machines and we are very little use them…. Yes it can and our energy supplier pay,s us money back, for the energy we not use in a year. Abouth 1000$

  5. Huge scandal –> video of Obama admitting several times that he was not born in the USA. Obama "we are still a place where anybody has a chance to make it through misleading and dishonest practices if they try. If that wasn't true then somebody named Barrack Hussein Obama from Kenya, from Africa, would not be elected President of the United States". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBkWCoTK4I8

  6. the problem is city property invaded by private property…cities thrive when all city residents own the city…cities lose value when private capital takes out more than it invests to own property in a city. In the case of this explosion its reckless nature is a threat to human life but that explosion was enabled the day the city sold the land to the refinery company and excluded it from regulatory standards all city property is subject. Without landownership by city residents communities die out.

  7. Another example of how the system is rigged. Bankrupt the corporation, take excessive management fees, fire the low level employees. Then sell it back to yourself and do the process all over again. Just the way the rich get to keep the weath and working citizens pay.

  8. Power and money are not interested in people. The elite will never fix our problems, they make our problems and blame anything else.
