I'm sorry but I stopped believing in climate change in the mid 2000s after a series of failed apocalyptic predictions. I was ok if they just kept it at the need to eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels, makes complete sense. Now we will all die in 12 years but I'm very dismissive because of the failed predictions. I was genuinely scared and paid attention when I was young. Why go nuts and lose credibility? What am I supposed to believe now?
All these leaders profess to be "free market capitalists", but steal our money to subsidize the worst industry — one that can't even survive without the cash. They are truly despicable.
You cannot keep the world under 1.5oC, according to Harvard via statistical analysis we have a less than 1 % chance, this is because our emissions are already sufficient to push us permanently past 1.5oC, indeed we briefly passed it about 6 months after the Paris agreement was signed which rather made a mockery of its piss poor attempt at tackling climate change. A voluntary agreement with no teeth that does not even mention vehicles and relies heavily on predictions from economists over scientists.
Also according to Harvard we have a less than 33% chance of avoiding 2oC. Which a bit of a misnomer as the arctic has already warmed by more than +2oC post 1750 to date.
