Facebook’s Libra Currency Monetizes Identity and Threatens Privacy – Everything Law and Order Blog

Bill Black discusses Feacebook’s new proposed crypto-currency, called “Libra.” Facebook could use this technology to standardize identity and create a world of ultimate surveillance, and then profit from it, says Black.

  1. So set up as essentially another stock system but you can liquidate the stock to buy but of course only the rich can afford to buy enough Libra to make a difference in voting on how to use it.

  2. All this "Satoshi Nakamoto" apocrypha is BS. Digital block chain currency is Libertarian Far Right Wet Dream Orgasm. That's why the creators of this currency refuse daylight. True Blockchain is "eat what you kill" form of money. Like a gold standard. Only worse, the "gold" is an elite supercomputer generated serial number. True Blockchain is the end of banking as we know it. Bankers know this. It is a far right Wet Dream.

Facebook talks about the unbanked As if Facebook CARED about third world people's. Facebook already uses it's WhatsApp to practice stirring agitations in those same cannon fodder third world countries. Lol. Pure lies about the unbanked.

  3. Can anyone show an example of Amazon actually using someone's purchase history or whatever against them? Has this actually happened?

  4. It could be a racist currency, as racist as his platform.

Why does he has to call it "libra", same as the British currency in Spanish?

  5. Plus it's closer to a cashless Society where if they don't like what we say they can just turn us off and we can't buy or sell anything

  6. Facebook the nation-state:
    Population 2.5 billion.
    Currency: "Libra."
    GDP: 4 Billion US.
Geographical location: The entire planet earth.
    Demographics: All of humanity.
Government: Cabal of global intelligence operatives.
    Climate: All climate ranges, combined.
    Main imports: Human data.
Main exports: Rockefeller mind control of the masses.

  7. Steadily moving towards that dystopia we fear so much, each step being justified by excuses like "to improve inclusivity" or "better user experience" or "reduced costs".

  8. Be aware our STaR is entering Solar Cycle 25, also known as “the Grand Solar Minimum” just as earth’s Magnetic Poles are shifting. Next Carrington Event is most likely within another 150 years

  9. Invasion of privacy through total transparency should not overshadow the “missing” of over 21 Trillion $$ USDA from the Pentagon.

  10. Good to hear Bill (and, of course Marc) again; always welcome info. Here's another video that seemed fine to me about Libra, " LIBRA, A Crypto Trojan Horse Is THE Central Bank Of FaceBook Designed To Control You Even More!!! " (11:18), Press For Truth, 19 June 2019, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD4uhQr1XI8. I definitely recommend reading the text description for the video, first, for it might help with some of what's said in the video. I always do that, but some people possibly tend to disregard the descriptive text. And for TRNN to pick up on this topic, I guess it's becoming "hot"; being something important to learn about. I can't afford the currency, but it can potentially be of value to know about when speaking with other people, some of whom might not be aware of info. as provided in these two videos; possibly not having even learned about any cryptocurrencies at all. I don't know how widely that topic is known.

  11. We're in a climate emergency, the US Dollar is collapsing and the country is becoming a Mercantile Capitalist (60 % service sector and 25% manufacturing sector) state. To me this indicates money will have a limited role in defining value in the future especially with a crypto-currency like Libra.

  12. What a patronising fool!. I think the reason Steiner has this guy on is so they can both dog-pile on millennials. Please reconsider having Black on to talk about crypto, because he is not informing people, he is not remotely qualified on the subject. If you want to be critical that's fine, but lets have an informed critique, not a pair of cackling hyenas. It is obvious to anyone born after 1955, that Libra is not even a crypto currency, it is more a digital token. It is not decentralised, it is not deflationary, and of course, being facebook, not anonymous. In other words, its like an inflationary, fiat currency, pegged to the value of other inflationary currencies. Its more like Disney dollars, or "zuckerbucks".

TRN is doing nothing to inform people on the subject. Bill Black is a financial regulator, and therefore opposed to something he can't regulate. According to him, all crypto is "mostly" insecure, bunk, "easily hacked", "as my grandmother used to say… bleh, bleh". The real danger is from a centralised, inflationary, corporate controlled, digital currency.

Black could not explain how and why it is "not nearly, mostly" insecure, or "subject to harassment"? Why has the NSA not managed it then, or anyone else on earth? The value inherent in the blockchain, is to provide security through non-repudiation of all blockchain transactions. There has been zero fraud of the (bitcoin) ledger thus far. If this was not the case, the the bitcoin ledger would be invalidated and the currency would cease to exist. This has never happened, not once in 10 years of bitcoins existence. It is not therefore accurate to say that blockchain technology is largely vulnerable to hacking attempts, this is regulator speak for "please don't use cypto, we can't track you".

The foundation of The Empire is to be found in the status of the dollar as THE global reserve currency, i.e like a form of globally funded, quantitative easing. The 7 wars, 1000 bases, and 700 billion war budget, is supported by a currency which maintains its value, because the global money system denominates most transactions (especially for oil) in the dollar currency. Using crypto (and abstaining from "zuckerbucks") is a way of depriving the war machine, from a vital source of support. That's one of the substantive arguments behind the use of crypto, which you failed to make.

"Younger people don't care about privacy" what in holy hell are you talking about, you patronising fool? They care FAR MORE than your corrupt generation, who can't even understand the tech! If you want anonymity, there are many solutions available, than to go "off the web", you are giving BAD ADVICE. You should be informing people, about some of the ways they can evade passive data collection. Telling people to "go off the grid" is just a way of scaring people, in fact, why are TRN giving a platform to a government regulator?

Why is this a big deal? Because the idea of 100 corporations creating a dystopian alternative (alternative to the REAL alternative, i.e. crypto) banking system is indeed TERRIFYING. The world is changing super fast; just because you don't understand technology, it won't make it go away, or become less relevant. TRN should aspire to teach and inform, instead you missed the chance to talk about anonymity, and digital ownership/privacy, and went with the "millennials are so dumb, wait until they have kids" routine. Abysmal reporting.

  13. seems like this guy is avoiding the details. each entity is capped at 1% vote, and he said something vague like "anyone could take over and get 2/3 vote"… he said again that china could "take over" the majority vote.. hes talking out of his hat

  14. Mark Zuckerverg represent the worst of the Millennial generation. Social engineering mixed with a rapacious greed dressed up as “bringing people together”. He’s such a reptile
