The greed class moved jobs to COMMUNIST China because while the Internet here in the USA has briefly opened a window to information not accessible before, in China, that information is controlled and consumerism will continue to grow. It was the bonus to moving jobs to where labor costs dropped below 8% the cost of an American worker.
The Chinese worker in their dead end job wants to possess bright shiny things and a lawn outside at least 2 boxes that they make payments to a bank and that consume energy sold weekly or monthly.
Now a worker somehow works longer hours than before – just like America after WW2 but it feels good when you show your new neighbors your bright shiny possessions when you invite them over for barbecue.
Trouble was, the growth that did fuel American prosperity did slow and if one looks at why, it was deliberate and necessary from the greed class perspective.
Money is made in a growth economy but Real Money is made if you have inside information on booms and busts. Moving jobs to a country with lower labor costs is a deliberate boom for the greed class.
Making money on weapons for fear of communism took decades. Making money by SENDING jobs to a COMMUNIST Country happens more quickly.

They have surpassed us already in many areas. If they do become a socialist Democracy, they will have us totally whooped.
It's inevitable as a Canadian it's a bit spooky. My country is chalk full of resources and we aren't a high population country and I can very much see larger countries trying to invade or war over our resources. We wouldn't be in this situation if we as a species didn't let rampant greed and corruption grow to the point where it now controls pretty much most of the planet.

Fascinating news piece. I was riveted right up until I heard Eddie Conway tell us how 500 million people were lifted out of poverty by Chinese Communism!? Tell that to the millions of people in China who work for slave wages and reside in near abject poverty. Or the privatization of land and resources in a power grab for wealth and hegemony over the last twenty years under a Government that is supposedly a Communist Republic. Perhaps the suicides at the iPhone factories might tell a different story. What planet do you inhabit sir!
id like to see analysis done on what may become of china if they become the world leader. their leaders, culture, and people lead me to believe it would be a heartless soulless crushing of anyone that gets in the way of the government mandate. with little care for individual well being, just slow creeping suffocating power.
