  1. Social Democrats are what the DCCC should be! Vote them out in 2020 and elect a more just progressive candidate! DCCC meddling gave Trump the presidency in 2016.

  2. Great two-part video!

The reason why Democrats started their "lesser evil" bullshit during the Reagan era is because they started taking corporate money in 1979!
The Dems stopped being a workers' party in 1979—their job now is to lie down and play dead for corporations.

  3. Seats for life – 70 % districts of Dems are safe seats, once a Corpporate Democrat has won it is NOT desired that they should have competition from within. or that the VOTERS should have CHOICE. The DNC / DCCC cannot outlaw other candidates to run, but they can make it even harder.

btw: AOC says that citizens during her primary did not even dare to be photographed, or they did not dare to volunteer for her since they work for the city. And Cynthia Nixon had problems getting staff (even paid for staff).

The idea situation for the DCCC. Like in the 14th in New York with Joe Crowley – long term incumbent that is not even challenged, can work for the donors and is undisturbed by the voters.

It means the incumbent can sell out the constituents and is safe from being punished by the constituents. – the situation on the ballot as desired by the Big Donors: sellout Coprporate Dem versus fierce Republican.

in a safe blue or red district the voters are not going to to vote for the other party (which they consider to be even worse), so they stay home.

And on a personal level: there is no price to pay for betrayal of the voters.

They had that situation also in the UK where it was almost impossible for the VOTERS in safe Labour districts to get rid of candidates the Blair machine had forced on them. Neoliberal Labour miscalculated in Scotland. They were sure that the Scosts would never vote for the Tories (as a majority). Well no – but a new party rose – the SNP – and for some time (when Labour would have needed those votes – in 2015) they crushed Labour in Scotland.

UK has the same system (winner takes all in a district, not popular vote) that makes sure that there are only 2 strong parties in the U.S. BUT: they do not allow as much money in elections, and the process of election work (everwhere !) so grassroots and new parties do have a chance, it is an outsider chance to make it, but not almost impossible.

  4. NEWS FLASH: The issue is neoliberalism, not age, race or gender. Duh.

You don't have to look any further than Bernie vs kamala to see that.

  5. This parade is a game to block Bernie Sanders form the office he has earned & deserves. There is no other choice who can beat Trump & hold firm to our values. Elect Bernie so the future of the people has a chance & it will demolish the DNC & GOP! The duopoly must end, choice must begin with Bernie.
This is his last show so support him, others have more time to grow into his stature as a statesman. We need a parliamentary system & rank choice voting. VOTE for change not chance.

  6. The DCCC and DNC plan is to get their boy Trump re-elected in 2020 the make sure the Democrat party is FOREVER DESTROYED!!!

  7. Neo-libs and Neo-cons are exactly the same party they are the gatekeepers of change. It's all an agenda driven soap opera. Even their logo the government mule….. all we are, are donkeys on a farm.

  8. This is a very important conversation. Sadly the curse of centrism has caused the Democratic base to shrink, shrivel and contract for more than three decades. Progressives will regain the majority and the power centers to reverse this terrible trend that has taken a horrific toll on the citizens of the United States of America.

  9. Interesting, isn't it, how the entrenched reactionary conservative Democrats reveal themselves? Only frightened people do what the DNC is doing… and that means they are vulnerable, and know it.

  10. The general direction of politics in America was more to the left before LBJ exacerbated class struggle with Vietnam and his Great Society programs welfare and Medicaid, and then the next president, Nixon, tarnished the reputation of more socialist conservatives. That's why it makes sense that the progressive ideas with the most traction now are universal like Medicare For All. The middle class needs to benefit too or it will seem to be in their interest to oppose the program. Sanders is right to talk about the common class interests of the working class including the middle class. The right only ever wins what victories it does for appearing to represent the middle class.

  11. What if the party messaging wasn't centrally planned? What if the party messaging was democratized (decentralized)?

It's the campaign messaging that controls the outcomes of elections, so whoever controls the messaging, controls the eventual outcome. I like AOC's approach in democratizing the funding which sidesteps centralized messaging control.

Real progress will never happen with all of the party hand wringing over messaging to the center! That's choosing the outcome before having an election! Just as citizen lead campaigns to remove the perverse incentive to gerrymander from the party in control so that politicians can no longer pick their voters, decentralizing the funding and messaging gets rid of the perverse incentive to pander to the middle during the campaigns.

Truly progressive democracies need to throw away the old paradigm of central party planning in favor of a more organic structure. When that happens, we'll finally make real progress for everyone. Until then, they're just shuffling the card deck before each election and hoping for the best delt hand!

  12. Go Progressives and The Green New Deal! I support Sanders and Warren, and I'm thankful to Representative Omar for bringing some honesty to Congress. Trump has no monopoly on lying.

  13. I think you are all missing the point. People like Pelosi and Schumer and Lipinski are not kicking the can down the road they are trying to preserve things like mass incarceration. They agree with mass incarceration. Let the deplorables be incarcerated and so slave labor for corporations. Democrats brought in mass incarceration. It wasn't a mistake, it was meant. The Democrats are not the lesser of two evils they are the most evil they just pretend and spin that they are not.

  14. The DCCC and the DNC needs to be taken back by the people. It will have to be aggressively ripped from the Democrats who work for their Doners. Follow the money

  15. Solutions that meet the scale of the problem must begin with each individual changing themselves. Not coming from politicians.
