23. The general population I know here in the capital of Lima want their government to serve them better. They want improved services and projects that benefit everybody. However, the general public also knows that corruption serves a small elite. And this is a big reason why so little gets done to actually improve and develop this country. Like in other places, the politicians are owned and operated by a local and international cabal. As guest in the interview said, the younger professional classes are totally fed up and sick of it.
