Indian Elections: Rahul Gandhi’s Minimum Income Program Highlights Modi Government Failures – Everything Law and Order Blog

“It’s bringing policy attention and public attention back to the issue of poverty, to the issues of deprivation and the fact that this government has not delivered at all for the bottom 50 percent, much less the bottom 20 percent” says Economist Jayati Ghosh

  1. 🤣😂🤣 India doesn't have poor peopld, India is infested by people who have nothing better to do than indulge in political banter with an average I.Q of 82 and Rahul Gandhi with an I.Q much lower than the average.. this guy is a joker. Nodoubt Modi is not much well informed or well read but is smart enough to run the nation when there is no other leader in sight, he is perhaps the only option with a bunch bufoons and ultra left communist radicals as our option.

Fuck Congress! The communal hate mongers basterdising Indians for the Pimprenuership.

  2. The numbers about this proposal suggest it would not be popular with the majority. Apparently 60% of the country lives on $1000/year, but they're only talking about giving welfare to 20%, only the poorest third of the poor. That sounds like a recipe to exacerbate class strife, doesn't it?
UBI avoids those problems, which is why it's a better policy concept than welfare. But it has to be the smallest amount that is effective to limit the effect it has on price inflation.
In the US, UBI probably would have worked great in the 1960s or '70s when it was first proposed and was almost implemented, but it might not work today because America barely produces any consumer goods anymore.

  3. Lets hope Modis BJP is defeated however I sadly think BJP and Modi will be re-elected they seem to be like the US elites threating war against another nation to garner votes. Modi keeps threatening Pakistan and Kashmir sadly his threats seem to win him votes.

  4. Raúl Gandhis legacy is important and irónic. One side his great grandfather, an anglophile who sequestered a lot India's post colonial hope in slap-dash industrial progress and airy dreams of international solidarity. On the other side, his grandmum a vicious and violent authoritarian figure, who was eventually assasinated by her personal bodygaurds (18 bullets?!!) … And finally his Dad and Uncle. Rajiv Gandhi was blown to bits by a Tamil suicide bomber taking revenge for the crimes commited by Indira Gandhi and the Indian army. Uncle, Sanjay Gandhi died in plane crash very mysteriously just around the time he and his henchmen were castrating and force sterlizing poor Indian farmers in Haryana, UP and punjab.
In essence its a family of disasterous reputatión over the last 50 odd years. Including mass murder and public terror unleashed by Indira Gandhi in Punjab and West Bengal. Plus a bunch of elite thugs, not so educated idiots and upper class mooches have always ruled India…

  5. I hope RNN has members from CPI(M) on their program in the future. CPI(M) should be discussed much more in the West, as they are growing in popularity 🙂

  6. Seems like this channel is very much away from India and has failed to read the current Indian mindset. The heading incorporating the words " Modi Govt failures " , in itself, is a symbol of the bias that this channel seems to be having against the current regime in India. Infact, this probably is the first election in India, which is being fought on the basis of measurable, actual achievements on ground, rather than sloppy dreams fettered out to the Indian populace for the last seven decades.
Never before any government has achieved in five years, what this government has been able to do. That too, with complete transparency and without any scams. That's why, the popularity of Modi remains at 68%, an all time high , to come back for the second term. While for the " Rahul Gandhi's Minimum Income Guarantee Scheme", Indians know, that it is just another rhetoric by the Grand Old Party of India, very much like " Garibi Hatao " ( Remove Poverty ), which his grand mother Mrs. Gandhi , peddled 45 years back. Socialist doles versus empowerment efforts : is the difference between Congress manifesto against BJP's promise. And , in all probability, BJP is going to win, hands down.

  7. Modi is the Indian Bolsonaro. He stokes fake nationalism built on false military bravado. Indians need to look at their living conditions before trying to project militarily. ie. Human Fecal Matter, Human Corpses are readily dumped into the Ganges, which Indians drink from. Spending Billions on Missiles? why not spend it on infrastructure, clean water, toilets, etc. Foreign Nations do not envy India, they laugh at you.

  8. progressive revolution worldwide. money is paper, economics is speculation, health, well being and happiness are the only real things that matter. there is hope
