  1. FREE Assange HE is Innocent no doubt! He was simply the messenger to the public for crimes being committed and covered up. Those that cover up crimes are the ones that need to be punished, that's logical 100%. Set him free and let him continue. Don't set him free and more crime dumps are about to happen and its going to get real ugly.

  2. Free Assange he has done nothing wrong! This bullying must be stopped! The government needs to owe up to wrong it does and stop blaming others.

  3. So Democrats Leadership Is Getting Rid Of Democracy By The DCCC Interference In Primary's With The Republicans Voter's Suppression Efforts Meanwhile Both Party Hates Freedom Of The Press And Democracy Which Mean They Hate Everyday Americans

  4. Excuse me! He did not help to get tRump elected at all. He got a good leak and he published it. That's what Wikileaks does. He doesn't take sides in a 1-sided corporate establishment American election.

  5. Jacqueline Luqman ALWAYS ON POINT: don't hate WikiLeaks for the Clinton emails. Jeff Cohen is a liar and gaslighter, Julian Assange was not trying to get Trump elected just because he traded some DMs with Trump Jr. He was just trying to get more information from him. Jeff Cohen is a fucking IDIOT for casting 'publishing the truth' as 'helping Trump'. FUCK YOU COHEN

  6. I find it truly disturbing that this lady is perpetuating the lie that there were legitimate sex charges against Julian Assange in Sweden. I followed that whole thing as it was unfolding. Julian was celebrating his birthday with a couple of working women. They had such a good time, they went back the following night, without remuneration, to continue the party. Then the US stepped in and suddenly Sweden collected up these two woman and declared that he had sexually assaulted them. Some time after, one of the women gave a press conference to say that no such assault ever happened (I saw it.) Stop perpetuating this lie. This whole sexual assault thing was manufactured between the US and Sweden because the US wanted to have the Swedish police arrest and extradite Julian to the US so they could do to him what they have been doing to Chelsea Manning. STOP THE LIES, PLEASE. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

  7. Jeff Cohen's assertation that Wikileaks was "trying to help Trump" is completely bogus with no evidence. They released information about a candidate that they received that is all.

Sure Assange didn't like Clinton. Would you if she had threatened to kill you via drone?

Is Cohen trying to claim Wikileaks had information on Trump that they never released?

Wanting to defeat Clinton is not the same as supporting Trump. Those who believe in the fake two-party system may see it that way but those of us who always vote 3rd party know the truth of our system.

This is a garbage narrative coming from a un-Democratic party supporter, even though he pretends not to be and is typical of the fake progressive left.

I don't like Trump, but I also don't blame others for what Americans have been doing to themselves for years. Which is to purposely undereducated, overtly brainwashing, and propagandizing for the warmongers of the US oligarchs.

Are you interested in changing the system or to keep putting little bandaids on the festering wounds that this system produces Mr. Cohen? Sounds like you like bandaids over cures.

  8. U.S.prosecutors have charged, Julian Assange, founder of the WikiLeaks website, with conspiracy in trying to access a classified U.S. government computer with former U.S. Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning in 2010. What a criminal!! He should have got a proper job! Not one that involves acting like a criminal to conduct his business! Hope you like Porridge for the next 10 years! A Traitor to America. Just to get your website publicity and name in the paper! He is not being charged with publishing media information and for voicing his Freedom of the Press opinions and views. Nothing wrong with that. But you can't be running a business acting like a CRIMINAL! Assange is a big coward. Why didn't he choose to walk out the building in dignity with his head held high! He knew he was getting evicted! Looked like he was acting like a big crying baby! You can't go breaking into and hacking any Company, Businesses and Government Services Computers. We all know it is a serious crime! You go to jail for that if caught! What a way to run a business – pathetic!

  9. Democracy, Freedom and the US Constitution under attack from the RIGHT, both RepubliCON's and CorpoRAT DemoCRAP's!!!

  10. Don't forget that when a grand jury issues an indictment, it has heard only one side of the issue, and that one side can include all types of evidence that will not be admissible, at trial. Among lawyers, it's been said for years (it was ancient, when I was in law school, over 40 years ago) that a prosecutor can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich…as it only hears what the prosecution wants it to hear. With the past legal machinations of the Bush and Obama administrations, though, Assange may never get to trial; he could end up spending the rest of his life, in isolation and without counsel, in a place like Guantanamo Bay, that gulag that Obama promised to close. I doubt that Assange ever sees a public trial, if the UK goes through with this.

  11. Catch up 'Real news network', Julian assange was never charged with crimes against women in Sweden. And it seems very likely the whole thing was a set up and ruse to ensnare him by the Swedish authorities proxy for the US trying to chase him down

  12. People go silently into the night.
Millions of people live London area where Julian Assange was in refuge, and now arrested. But there weren't much people that cared enough.
The prison where Chelsea Manning is kept, that's less populated region.

  13. What's make it uncanny is that what hold the usa people to make demonstration while they see that their freedom of free press is under threat? They boast of as the pillar of human right keepers of the world. In practice, they are too far from it.

  14. Jeff Cohen is critical of WikiLeaks for exposing the criminal activity of Clinton and the DNC. Yes, the byproduct may have been the election of Trump but isn't it important for the voters to know these Corporate Liberals were kneecapping Sanders? Cohen appears to have a big dose of Trump-mania and is not standing back to see the big picture. It wouldn't surprise me if he was one of those who swallowed Russiagate hook, line, and sinker.

As for your video title, "Assange Indictment: A Threat to the Foundation of US Democracy"; I must disagree with the presumption of your question. You can't threaten the foundation of something that doesn't exist. Unless you are one of those pathetic fools that run and hide when some distasteful reality smacks you in the face, you have to thank WikiLeaks for exposing the magnitude of the corruption in the Democratic process. Even the DNC court case in California where those who donated wanted their money back because of the corruption was fought by the DNC on the basis they don't have to give fair elections.

So as Jimmy Carter said, there is no actual democracy, the US is an oligarchy. Yes, democracy in many Western nations is just a farce that many self deluded fools believe is real.

  15. Fine discussion and there's really no such thing as " US Democracy " in practice; not only due to but still much due to voters, by far most of whom vote for either of the two main political parties regardless of how extremely rogue, criminal they are, the "leaderships" and their supporters anyway. We shouldn't solely fault the corrupt politicians voters support, for the voters are also at fault. The USA, Canada, … aren't what I'd call real democracies. Canada is on paper, or certainly the province of Quebec is, but NOT in real practice; and, again, voters are also to blame in this, rather than only the politicians, the "elected" ones anyway, being solely to blame. It's a sort of slavery and the voters are highly responsible. Amazingly nonsensical as it is!

  16. The Democracy Of State Can Blow Not By Julian Assange, But Blow By The Deep State Fight And Miss Administer And Others Policy, …… Cherrio02*Win*👍👍👍.

  17. We Don't Thing So, What Threatent Democracy Of US Country, He Just Try To Wake Up The People Of US Country Becosuse Something Event Been Happening In This Country Again Constitution Of State, But This Very Hide By Deep State Man, It Is What He Wont To Open As Case, Then What His Wrong To Get Arrest, …..God Bless All, …. Cherrio02*Win*👍👍👍.

  18. Please provide the proof of the exchanges between Trump Jr. and Assange because MANY OF US have not seen them. Know what I mean? Thank you.

  19. The intent is to railroad Assange, so if they can the prosecution will present its case to a lawyer friendly to the US Government and not friendly to the people of the US, and they usually are lucky in getting a judge of their choosing, especially when it's whistle blowers being prosecuted. If Trump does nothing, we then know without a doubt that Trump is just another Statist as all of the previous Presidents were.

  20. I don't understand why nobody gives the importance to the podesta files? What the democrats were doing , pursuing the russia gate was to distract the attention from going after the Messy potesta files.Plus the Sweeden case was already dissmissed why bring it back now .he even won the case at the UN. Tris is far greater problem that is he was or not a journalist.this is showing that after 9/11the americans listo every rights granted in the magna carta

  21. Jacqueline Luqman unwittingly parroting the false narrative that Assange is facing rape charges in Sweden, exemplifies the failure of progressives to research this story thoroughly and worryingly, it demonstrates that they're just as susceptible to propagating misinformation as their conservative opponents.

  22. Kind of pathetic that that needs to be in the form of a question; only a fascist would think Assange needs to be "brought to justice".

  23. Don't they know that the dubious sexual assault charges made from Sweden were dropped and the hearing that was skipped, which led to the bail charge, was in relation to the now non-existent assault charge? That hearing was skipped because of the risk of extradition to Sweden for trial – and then onward to the USA for a trial for espionage. Sweden refused to give an undertaking that he would not be extradited to the USA.

What do journalist do all day?

  24. Jeff Cohen surely wanted Hillary to win. I get it. However, to claim that Wikileaks or Julian Assange had conspired with Don Jr to elect Trump is a outright false conspiracy theory. In fact, Assange brushed off Don Jr. (via Twitter DMs) and tired to get him to ask Father (Trump) to release a portion of his Tax Returns.

Liberals like Jeff are the epitome of cowards who can't and will not come to the realization that Hillary Clinton was a horrible candidate and was beaten by a Conman. They try to blame everyone except the candidate. Get some help or move on already.

  25. I guess you forgot to have bill biney on about the dnc emails was leaked and not hacked as they claim. they can prove it. But that seems lost to at the real news.

  26. "Ironically it was Assange who helped Trump win…" Yes the release of the leaked emails did help, but to state it this way suggests he was deliberately targeting Clinton. And later they double down. Wikileaks have published literally millions of documents, including thousands on Trump, and yes, Russia. There is no evidence Assange targeted anyone. To say this is a slur on his professionalism. The lady kept out of this part of the debate, but I found the two guys comments frankly sickening. Sloppy, unfounded comments like this, effectively smearing Assange as a right winger. Instead of focusing on why Democrats really lost. The old blame game. Real News is normally way better than this. The fact that they are smearing an incarcerated journalist like this, is like I say, frankly sickening. And btw he has never been charged, re sexual allegations, another inaccuracy.
