12. As an Algerian I've noticed many ovious mistakes from both the intervewer and the intervewed. Among which: 1. Algeria is not an arab country. (Its like refering to the US as an english county) its a north african country with Amazigh roots 2. Arab "spring" has not hit us late because algerians were uprising on and off since 1988. 3. Geopolitics of algeria are very different from middle eastern countries. 4. The power was not excluvisly in the hands of Boutef but is in the hands of the military. 5. Boutef is not and has never been considered by anyone in Algeria as the embodiement of the algerian resistance to colonial France. He only tried to give himself some political legitimacy by lying about his past. But all algerians know it's a lie and even his most fervent supporters knew it was only a big fat joke but they play along for propaganda purposes.
    This algerian uprising is a Revolution against those who kept power and Algerian ressources in their hands and used them as personnal bank accounts and sold parts of the country's ressources to France and the US without being held acountable for anything, as they put their powns in the most strategic positions.     I can’t see any Algerian news for right now. No updates. I can’t get a telephone call or text to someone into the country. This news is from the past. The last I saw was the police spraying tear gas on the crowd. This report is bogus and shows past footage. Why is this an Arab spring? Many if the citizens are Berber. 16. Algeria has always been governed by the military junta as from 1962. The military chiefs are extremely corrupt and they govern illegally by the military force and not by the free and the transparent elections.Obviously Abdelaziz Bouteflika the so called president was chosen by the military junta in 1999.Although he has been extremely paralyzed mentally and physically and wearing diapers like a newborn baby and also he could not say one single word; the military junta supported him to have a new mandate of five years but the people protested by millions against all this extreme tyranny.
    Now the military chiefs are trying all trick to stay in power illegally and to continue their extreme corruption everywhere. Of course these military chiefs hide behind their puppets like Abdelaziz Bouteflika….etc and behind their tails like the chiefs who share criminal activities with them like Ali Haddad, Rabrab…..etc….etc!!!!!!.
    PS: why on earth did you have this analyst?. He knows nothing about the Algerian issues!!!.

17. Algeria was on the forefront in the 80’s. October 1988 revolution was a triggering date for multi-parties, free speech and democracy. Unfortunately it has been robbed from us. Today’s revolution is the continuation of what has been started in the 80’s.
