5. While I anticipate buying a Tesla to play my part in the Green New Deal, this demonstrates the huge problem we will have with electric vehicles! Clean Coal is not a reality. Solar technology is not sufficient. Solar farms have extensive footprints but generally produce 1-4 MW. Compare that to coal burning plants with smaller footprints that on average generate 600 MW.
