Holy shit, they tried to privatize water???
The FMLN should oust the corrupt leadership, return to its communist roots, and take back power in the executive and legislative branches
Question is which is role of christian organizations in Salvador in that elections, previous pressure on FMLN, support for right-wingers? As we can see but never hear from any news media, booth corporative and independent – pro left, there is huge effort and often crucial role in obstruction left-parties, politicians and left ideas. We saw it in Nicaragua, where they had crucial role in attempted coup but lost, we saw it in Argentina, in Brazil, seeing it in Venezuela. Maybe in Salvador also? Always it is Catholic Church or Evangelists who doing great campaign of lies, support right wing politicians, right wing violence, blocking reforms, blocking empowerment and enrichment of people. Pope Francis is doing great job. In destroying peoples and countries of Latin and South America.
A trojan horse whom presented himself as the Messiah to save the day. A combination of uninformed people and corruption from both right and left parties resulted in the ignition of anger among the population. As a form of punishment to the FMLN for corruption of top leaders, people voted for this cia right wing corrupt puppet.
The plus side is if or when he disappoints the people, a real Revolution can happen. That might come sooner if the U.S wants to starts its fires. Venezuela is were the empire will die.
He's right wing of Palestinian descent? Something doesn't sound right. Definitely will keep following this
How did they elecet him? Answer: STEVE BANNON.
Macronisation…Blair zombies

The US candidate wins.
@5:00 – @5:25
That's all I needed to hear.
We must wonder why the FMLN has lost so much popular support. My impression is that they went so far to the right that nobody trusted them anymore: a very typical problem with left-wing parties looking to their right.
Was the FMLN any good for the WC???

The uncorrupted outsider is a good political story. I hope it works out better for them than the supposed outsider who we elected in the US.
El Salvador is basically a banana republic for years and will continue unfortunately
It was difficult to listen to her while using the ‘up-speak’ style of communication.
I hear those speakers starting to give definitive statements/answers, and then end their sentences as if it was a question. Confuses my thought process.
Maybe it’s just me…
He is Palestinian? How long before the US unseat him
For all his money, he needs a better barber
The FMLN used their time in power to enrich its top leaders. Corrupt as any other government has been.
Looks like another neoliberal douchebag. Palestinian descent? Rightwinger? How does that work
Salvadorean people probably thought he'd steer the country well simply for being a businessman.
Whatever his shortcomings, the new president will have lots of photos of himself. How sad that no country seems to avoid the dumbing down of society via smartphones, especially one such as El Salvador, with its recent history. If you're unfamiliar with the relationship of the US to El Salvador, since the '70s, watch Oliver Stone's great film, "Salvador." That will add context.
