  1. it was a biased presentation, though. It was entertaining, and factual, but left out "alternative facts" AKA "the rest of the story."
Like, he really did tell a US Senator "go F— yourself," but the film doesnt tell you he said it to Patrick Leahy. I lived in Vermont when we shipped Leahy off to Washington because it was the only way to get rid of him. So Leahy had it coming, and everybody knew it. That's the rest of that story. .

Then the solar panels on the roof of the White House, Carter had them installed in 1979. They stayed up there about 7 years until the roof was in need of repair, so they had to be removed. Here's the thing about putting solar panels on a roof: a roofing job can last about 20 years, then it needs to be replaced, so if you are planning to put solar panels on your roof, replace the roof first. Thats the rest of that story: don't put new panels on an old roof.
And Jimmy Carter will never be remembered for solar panels, he will be remembered for a terrible economy and the Iranian hostage crisis. The state department warned him if you let the Shah take refuge here, hostages will be taken. Carter completely misjudged the revolution, thought the ayatollah was a "holy man" and Islam was a religion of peace, and he would be reasonable. As if.
Carter's ineptitude prompted Kennedy to challenge him in the primaries, brought on the candidacy of John Anderson, and got Reagan elected. Thats the rest of that story.
Obama was no breath of fresh air, and blew the only chance for a regime change in Iran. Iran was in play in June of 2009 and Obama let it go. All the people there needed was some help from the rest of the world. Obama's incompetence was the only thing that could have ever gotten Trump elected. That's the rest of that story

  2. So much fu<kery in politics eversince Nixon. They're all dirtbags, especially the Bushes, Clintons, Obama, Trump, and Biden. Once we get that, we can better decide and hold them accountable when they're way off the rails.

  3. They also exaggerate the stupidity of Gearge Bush to make him seem Lee's evil and less responsible. They are trying to Rehabilitate Bush . Shame on vice . The left is falling for this Bush Rehab and its gross.

  4. it was not an attenuation of DIck's evil. The movie only shows the whole person and his history behind. I was impressed by his bureaucratic acumen and skills in manipulating the system to change it. and if you are a politician who wants to pass civil rights legislation, fight against climate change, reform police, and offer medicare for all you NEED to use his methods although not his values

  5. Movie: depicts Dick Cheney as remotely human and sympathetic while lying and exaggerating a lot of his real-life actions in order to make him look even worse.

Leftists: WOW, what a terrible movie! It undercuts how evil he was!!!

  6. I loved Vice. And I gotta say, the more the movie tried to make Cheney look evil, the more I liked him. I’m sorry. It’s true.

  7. "A president who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground!" – Love Larry's colorful use of language. Dubya, a rather simple man coupled with Big Dastardly Dick got us two disastrous invasions/occupations of the Middle East and trillions of dollars of near wasted spending, not to mention the death and destruction.

  8. Apparently this movie includes a line spoken by the Condoleeza Rize character telling us how displeased Isreel is with the war on Iraq. Truth is stranger than fiction.

  9. I watched this movie the first time and was shocked. By the end of the movie I felt real fear. No man, human being should be graced with that much power and I'll gotton at that. I'm convinced Dick Chaney was a mad man. He was like a snake slithering through, taking what he desired, and set fire to the rest. He showed he had no soul. He was responsible for killing hundreds and thousands of innocent people in the name of power. He walked all over President Bush, he walked over many people. He disregarded our basic rights. He had absolutely no compassion, love, understanding, empathy, no emotion for his brothers and sisters, our shoulders, men and women alike. Our traditions, our voice, he heard not a word.
He was mean, kiniving, secretive, an enemy of the people. Our nation has been in distress for a long, long time. And you take a real, good, hard look at how our country is being run and by who. It's very, very frightening. Dick Chaney is only one, of the very demented and sick, politicians, whose only goal for our country is for them to get richer, more powerful. They, again, do not care or have our best interest at hand. There slowly killing us off. Trump isn't the only one who should be impeached.

  10. Don’t care for Cheney or Bush but you talk about not knowing history. Obama was the most protected POTUS ever little was brought to light before either election or frankly after. Politicians in general don’t like true history, wether evil or good it should be a lesson to learn from or its just wasted time, money and lives.

  11. VICE was a pretty good movie but I think they sortof blew the bad side of Dick Cheney out of proportion a bit. I doubt in real life that’s how he’s like.

  12. Cheney was a War Criminal, and W. a witless dupe. Lyndon Baines Bush wasted 5,000 lives in Iraq, only to hand it over to Iran. Then, the POS Obama continued the madness and built on it. Thank goodness for Trump. The deep state must be purged, by ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

  13. the thing I dont like about the movie is BOTH PARTIES have become more evil and they both take money from lobbyists. Creating MONEY to be made from politics. Not public servants. The Democrats are by no means innocent or better in any way. It is all over the place. We need people in office who want the job not the money.

  14. The film didn't downplay the evil of his actions. It just didn't make him cartoonish and made an effort to portray many facets of his life. Not solely portraying his evil acts doesn't downplay those acts; if anything it makes them that much more chilling.

  15. fantastic movie ! superb acting, we people should be grateful that terrorist were diminished, I don t remember of one attack from the alcaedas or isis in America !

  16. We must NOT forget what Cheney has done to our country, to our global reputation, and to our individual lives with things like the ill named Patriot Act. He was indeed a national power hungry and personal financial opportunist! "Evil" is a proper title for Cheney.

  17. The marines guard the opium poppy fields that the Taliban got rid of. That tells something. CIA is in the drug business, amomg other things.
