St.Paul, Minnesota — On December 7, 2023, St. Paul police responded to reports of an order for protection violation. A woman reported that she was driving with a man in her passenger seat when 24-year-old Brandon Daleshaun Keys pulled in behind her and started hitting her vehicle with his. The woman told police that Keys had a gun. When the woman stopped at North Cretin and Marshall Avenues, Keys got out of his car and approached her vehicle.

When Officer Michael Tschida arrived on scene, he got out of his squad car and ordered Keys to get on the ground. The two exchanged gunfire, during which Keys was struck in the head and Tschida was struck in the leg. Both were taken to Regions Hospital for treatment, where Keys later died. Tschida was treated for his injury and released. Neither the woman nor the passenger in the vehicle Keys struck were hurt. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) crime scene personnel recovered a handgun from the scene.

  1. I really want to know if this lady knew the guy or not, no random person cradles the person who just rammed your car and had a gun on them. That seems very weird to cry over that person too, maybe she’s just really emotional or soemthing but she had to have known him in some way shape or form

  2. Did you notice the incident was at the junction of North Cretin Avenue? CRETIN being a derogatory term for a stupid person, the baby mummy and daddy both fit the description.

  3. I hope that woman faces charges for interfering and putting officers lives at risk. She could've grabbed the gun herself, she could've become a hostage, and she certainly blocked the view.

  4. She really pulled in front of the gunfire, parked and ran to the man who just shot an officer and says you gotta help him. BITCH, get the fuck out of the way. She should be charged with accessory to the crime.

  5. Shoutout to officer tshinda man. Definition of putting your life on the line to save others. He gave the dude the first shot knowing he could’ve taken it. It seems counterintuitive but your job as a cop is to lay your life down for the safety of the community not to assume that a guy was going to shoot you so you shot him first.
