Lies, lies, and more lies… "The Free Market" is an "Enlightenment Era theory", one that goes hand 'n hand with Liberalism, and the theory of Socialism. It otherwise does NOT exist, and was from the beginning, part of an ideology to be the polar opposite of Capitalism, certainly not part of it… that's an oxymoron.
"The Free Market" would be the fruition of a Society owning, operating, distributing, managing, and profiting from, local businesses… The worst nightmare of the Ruling Capitalist/Globalist/Wealth Elitists.
first time i had to think since leaving university. all other media input is simple "feeding" input or type of brainwashing. Prof. Lazonick was educating us. as with most classes we took, i needed to take notes, go back to the text chapter and re-read several times to PARTIALLY understand the lesson. usually you didn't understand the lecture first time through, you had to work and sweat at it. we don't have enough sweat in america except out of the athletes. today, most americans NEED to understand in simple terms and need to get the points easily and immediately. what does that say about our country? i think Prof. Lazonick is the the first "media" i've heard mention "employee turnover rate" in 20 years. we live in rural area and get to know every employee at home depot lowes to a lesser extent walmart. these three store have over a 60% employee turnover rate PER YEAR for the last 10 years we've lived here. if you would have told an economist this in the 70s 80s they would have called it impossible!
Great video but can't find the speaker's book
So NOW all the people need to understand and learn is how federal taxes do not fund government spending. …however federal government spending is supposed to be for the PUBLIC purpose not for bailing out large corporations. …
Per article one section 8 of OUR Constitution states that only Congress can Mandate spending and taxation.

I am distrustful of companies who buyback, but couldn’t explain why. Now I understand. Thank you. I would love to see you share your ideas in a different setting, perhaps sitting down with a colleague.
Buyback is nothing but a ripping of the consumer.
A minute in and uhh…already can tell uhh… this uhh….video needs uhhh…..HEAVY ….uhhh editing.
Edit: A fairly decent talk, notwithstanding
26:41 – Particularly enjoyed when Lazonick calls Milton Friedman a fraud. 😀
