U.S. Refuses to Adopt a Nuclear Weapon No First Use Pledge – Daniel Ellsberg on RAI (7/13)

1. I have had a channel on YouTube for 13 years—and this Ellsberg interview is the single most important content I have ever seen on YT. That is why I contribute $$ to The Real News Network. And if you are not, why not? Drop your beer and get out your wallet!

2. Where do we go if the shit hits the fan? Has US govt even bothered to build shelters deep underground…except for the elites' plan who've already built cities equipped with all they think they'll need to survive. In earlier clip, Ellsberg refutes survival may not be possible even for them.

3. USA is trying to maintain its hegemonic empire by spending $1trillion on nukes, whilst crippling and economically destroying countries like Iran for even thinking about nukes let alone developing them. America is the worst nation in history – only country to ever use nukes to murder hundreds of thousands of people in split second.

4. Imagine these old American geezers sitiing round a table of serious discussion about nuclear weapon & how to in details & to even lightheartedly joke about aftermath. Sick. The US govt/military kept their secrets from public thru justification of classified coz they knew the bottomline is that they were up to no good. I pray times have really truly changed. Their insanity then must be subject of confession & repentance now.

5. Religion plays a large part in are careless attitude toward war. I'm sure there are more than a few of our "leaders" who believe they were put in charge by God to usher in the end times. There are so many crazy people with power that when it becomes a problem, it's going to be a big problem . . . . I mean really really big . . . . I mean unimaginably huge.

6. Well, US Gov is pushing for world war III for a long time, knowing all this.
   Hope the men and women in power get some human like feeling, and start to work on good istead of evil!!! Will they!!!?

12. Much respect for this gentle human being. Where did we all go wrong to think there is a winner in a nuclear war? America use to represent freedom, prosperity, a beacon for others to follow what a bunch of horse shit that is. The last real president of the United States was Jack Kennedy and we know how that turned out.

13. How can we replace these psychopaths from government before they destroy this planet? Democracy is dead when we only have the same choice.

16. This is a lose/lose situation. Any logical rational thinking person knows this. The only way out is through. We must have a change in consciousness or we will all suffer immeasurable pain, suffering and loss of life. What’s the point to life? It’s certainly not to dominate and kill other humans. We are all here to experience this thing called life and consciousness. The sole purpose in this is to learn to love. Firstly ourselves which expands outwardly to others. When we as a species finally understand that by hurting others we also hurt ourselves then we can start the process of creating the beautiful peaceful loving planet that was our sole purpose all along.

    People should realize that national security is not about us, it is about persevering the government in power. It is what Dick Cheney euphemistically calls, continuity of government and again, it has nothing to do with us.

19. Gosh, it would be great if we could maintain our way of life after a nuclear war. Sure would miss our big box stores like Wal-Mart.

23. Forgetting unprecedented human death and suffering, if we could interview every animal and plant in the Northern Hemisphere, they would vote "NO" on any nuclear first strike, by the US, Russia, or China!
